Hyundai registers 20,000 bookings for the Verna

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) had launched the new Verna in May this year. The new Verna has received an overwhelming response from the customers since its launch and has already clocked over 20,000 bookings pan India. Commenting on this, Arvind Saxena, Director - Marketing and Sales, HMIL, said, “We are pleased to receive an overwhelming response for the new Verna from our customers. In order to cater the strong demand, we are trying to increase the production to help us reduce the waiting period and clear the backlog of bookings at the earliest.”

The new Verna pioneers a host of premium and futuristic design elements based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture Design Philosophy. It boasts of cutting edge design, luxurious & well appointed interiors, latest technology and features which are those of one segment above. The new Verna is being offered at an introductory price of Rs 699,000 - Rs 1,074,500 (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).

The new Verna has four engine options - 1.4 litre VTVT delivering 107PS@6300rpmof maximum power and 13.8Kgm@5000rpm of peak torque, the petrol 1.6 litre VTVT engine with 123PS@6300rpm maximum power and 15.8kgm@4200rpmpeak torque, the Common Rail diesel 1.4 litre CRDi with 90PS@4000rpm max power and 22.43kgm@1750 – 2750rpm of peak torque and the diesel 1.6 litre VGT CRDi, with range topping 128PS@4000rpm max power and 26.5kgm@1900-2750rpm of peak torque.
