It's very nice experience with ertiga 2017 model with smart hybrid engine fuel economy is awesome.The interior also good. For Long drive this vehicle is best to travel.but old model ertiga resale value getting down.

One week ago I bought Ertiga VXI Limited Edition 2018, I go with Limited Edition cos of all black interior n alloy wheels. The next day we 8 members including 3 kids went to a short trip and in the mid its petrol light starts blinking so we filled more fuel in it and techometer showing average of just 8.5 which looks terrible to me after 6 days I visit dealer showroom and met with their service manager and reports the low mileage problem he sends their technical person with me and we both goes to a drive he starts driving and to my amaze the mileage starts improving from 8.5 to 12 13 15 and finally 17.8 which is more than the specified mileage in brochure then he gives me some tips like driving in the same gear etc and now I am very much satisfied with my ertiga

Exterior No doubt about exterior, Good attractive Exterior design, Good body colours and Graphics available, good alloy wheel design.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good Features, but the company Should increse a little bit boot space, good dashboard & audio system. The A.C. Coming from the car is Outstanding especially Rear A.c is so good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox SHVS brought Excellence Performance & Mileage is awesome, Gears are good and So easy to operate. The driver feels comfortable, especially in traffic made easy to drve by using SHVS technology.

Ride Quality & Handling Super Power steering and makes me to drive long.

Final Words Congratulation to Maruthi Suziki Ertiga, You simply rocked. Car Justified Value for Money, Good family car, fantabolous car, Good competition In market Especially in big cars segment, giving tough competition for Toyato Innova.

Areas of improvement Extra Boot space For storage would have been improved, Otherwise in all segments The car is unbeaten.

We have purchased our dream car in 2017 with absolute love for it..since then we want to take it long journey ..our journey started from chennai-- bengaluru--goa--mumbai--shirdi--hyderabad--chennai back again...it's been a fabulous driving experience ....Maruti never let us down...we have travelling in full load with 7 members ...and it was very economical too with mileage around 15- 16 Kms per litre...it has plenty of pros to be honest the only con I would say is body and suspension is on the lighter side .....servicing would approx cost u around 10 k for 10k Kms...on an average u can consider 4 Kms per litre as charge for ur travelling...very nice car and premium too ..wow Maruti congrats and all the best for your future cars too...I am a big fan of yours...

Better pick up and performance. Space-wise, it's so messy and seems classy in its segment. Love to ride it for miles and experiencing amazing and fully satisfied aspects are so prominent and promising.

Exterior Soothing and not very quirky. As a personal choice, I do not like too many lines and cuts in the body design, so the "Plain Jane" looks appealed to me.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good for a family of 4-5 with not too much luggage. With luggage you need to fold the last row, thereby making it a 5 seater. Last row good for kids. Adults will find it uncomfortable over long journeys. AC is good, chills quickly even in the North India summers. The rear AC vents for the passengers on 2nd and 3rd row is a good thing.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear shifts are smooth and pick up is goos even with AC on. I have driven it for more than 25,000 kms and mostly on highways with the AC on. Even then the fuel efficiency ranges between 14.5 -15 kms/ litre on petrol with a speed ranging 100-120 kmph. The fuel efficiency surely takes a big knock if you love to drive it around 120 or more. On such occasions the car returned a figure of  13.5.  Without the AC, on highways I am getting 16. There is an audible thrum of the engine once it crosses 3200 rpm. The pick up is nice till 80 and then again after 100.  The 80-100 band is a tad unresponsive.

Ride Quality & Handling Brakes could be better. With a loaded car, one has to  be careful while applying brakes. The ground clearance is fairly good. Even with a fully loaded car, I have driven on the hill roads and uneven surfaces. The bottom did not scape even once. The steering remains stable even at high speeds. No vibrations either in the steering or in the gear shift.

Final Words A good family car which ticks all the boxes. If you are travelling with a full luggage load and you get a flat tyre, then it is a pain to remove all the luggage, take out the spare and put the luggage back.

Areas of improvement 6 th gear or Slightly more powerful engine . Maybe they can use the 1.6 petrol  engine that was used in SX4. That was a gem with enough grunt.

Fuel Efficiency, Music System, Adequate Space for a familyA little more power or a 6th Gear would have been icing on the cake

Exterior Good looking shape, A big question mark on Bumper quality, Mud flaps should be wider (at least 1-1.5 inch outside)

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Sufficient Space for mid highted persons (5" to 5.8" in height), Facilities like bottle holders, charger, dual AC Vent, Mid row arm rest (No arm rest for driver and side seat) etc. are provided for more comfort. Powerful AC with dual vent cools interior more quickly (No necessity to increase blower speed, you can keep it to "1")

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful engine with great pickup, if you drive car between 79-80 km/hr with RPM between 1000-1400, you will get good fuel economy. (I got 20.01 kmpl before 1st Servicing with AC running for entire journey having hilly roads, 15.9 kmpl in city).

Ride Quality & Handling Very comfortable riding

Final Words Some people suggested me to purchase Petrol variant, but I think, VDI is a good selection even if your running per year is 10000 to 15000 kms. Difference between VXI and VDI was rs. 120000.00 in my city, but when fuel rates are considered both variants will be equal in 2 years. 

Areas of improvement Very less luggage space provided, so if you are 7 members riding with luggage, you will definately find lack of storage and a carrier will be the necessity.

Wonderful car with low maintenance. Family car. I'm searching for this car. My Preference for petrol version. I will purchase this car soon as well as possible. I can also purchase used if I get good one.
