Jeep Compass [2017-2021] User Reviews

I purchased Jeep Compass Limited Plus on 1st of July and within 15 days (vehicle not even driven 500 km and 300 km on 1st day) lot of annoying sounds audible from sunroof, dashboard, doors and now from suspension. Think 100 times before you purchase Jeep Compass (get trapped by false things and commitments of Jeep sales team) and if it is faulty then your hard earned money money is gone. From 15 days of post purchase I am experiencing the same daily They installed duplicate foot stap and got caught. Their act breached customer trust

Exterior Really great and looks good compared to SUV's in the same league.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quality of interior is good . However it is higly disappointing that Jeep has not provided reverse camera which is an essential requirement even in its longitude (O) variant.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I bought my Jeep compass(Diesel, 4X2) two months back and within few days of purchase, I have observed a high level of rattling sound from the engine. Sound was so irritating and often happens while accelerating at 2nd and 3rd gears and sound vanishes when accelerate further and  gets past 2000. Finally, I have observed that engine making rattling only when it is  starts from cold start condition and it persists nearly one hour. To my great greatest surprise, it was found that rattling noise vanishes when the engine stop and start again. I have demonstrated the problem to the dealer and they are now taking up the matter with manufacturer. I am looking forward for the action from Jeep.

Ride Quality & Handling Good.

Final Words Being an iconic brand, Jeep shoud have done more R&D on engine to avoid the issues with the engine sound.

Areas of improvement Additional features like reverse camera and larger infotainment screen.

Hi I have been purchased Jeep Compass last year July still not complete 1year it has so many problems in engine side fuel pump failed no parts available at service agency in Hyderabad quality of service in Hyderabad jeep agency very poor my car it’s in agency since 1week no result please friends don’t go with Jeep Compass India service and performance very bad experience

I purchased this car in recently and drove 800km in all conditions (in city/ highway etc---). I am getting an average mileage of 5.4 km/litre instead of 12-14 which company is offering. Please check the mileage of this car before buying this variant. It is a petrol variant with an engine capacity is 1.4, not worth to drive this car if you get an average of 5.4/km.

DON'T BUY unless you want to SPEND MONEY on service as the vehicle will have CLUTCH FAILURE FUEL LEAK HEADLIGHT battery issues REPEATEDLY And jeep India IGNORE the issues RAISED BY YOU

superb as a car but poorest of the poor service as there dealership is not at all concern in solving the customer problem even those are from manufacturer side. on the first rain of this season my car rear side is filled with water as there is a blockage in their drainage pipe ( as a manufacturer fault )it is one month now i have"t get back my car yet as the dealer keeps on saying give 4 -5 more days & on & on.

I bought new jeep compass limited plus in 2019 Jan from Raipur. My buying experience was good car was tough suspensions were responding nice even in rough roads only worst thing jeep has provided Bridgestone pathetic tyres. Tyres get flat in every 400km drive and after some 13000 km drive they told me to replace tyre and irony is no company other than Bridgestone was there for my options.i called jeep customer's service but they also refuse to provide any other option. So ultimately I bought Bridgestone again and same story started tyres got flat in every 400 km drive and bursted once , again they told me to change tyres this time I got option of michelin . I asked Bridgestone to cover tyre in warranty but they are not looking very positive for this. Ultimately Bridgestone tyres are pathetic jeep should come with some other tyre brand which can bear weight of this heavy vehicle.

Purchased 4x4 Limited Diesel, done about 600 km, in city roads mostly , not yet on highways, one month of ownership. Pros: 1)Excellent Suspension 2) Noise Reduction inside cabin is excellent 3) Pickup is so punchy 4) Premium interiors, great built quality. 5) Car music on alpine speakers are great, sound at its best. 6) Front grill look and back both are eye stealers. Cons: 1) Low speeds below 40 kmph was not so pleasant drive experience, engine noise can be heard inside as well., becomes smoother ride quality after 50 kmph. 2) City mileage around 11 km/lit with AC set in auto mode. 3) 17 inch alloy feels smaller for this size of car. 4) Infortainment system just ok. , Should have been having a inbuilt gps navigation. 5) turning radius feels longer

Exterior Its good, but could have done better in paint department. Its good they cut in acessaries but they could have provided as, customer can buy it and fit it after purchase. This will reduce burden of roadtax. Their acessariies are not available easily and if availabe it too costly.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Feature wise it missing cosmetic detailing. Space is one of the best in class. You can compare with Tuscon. Road handling is also good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Diesel Engine is noisy its similar to what fortuner makes the sound. Fuel economy is good compare to its engine power its give good mileage. Gear box, dont know how long this will be smooth. If you really observe the vehicle their are lots of future plans for this vehicle. everywhere they left some or the other dummy sealed points. Might be in another 6 month, You may get switch to close the boot using  boot door keys also on the remote keys. Also one side of the sterring keys are blanks may be for cruse and other features.

Ride Quality & Handling Superb.

Final Words You cannot compare with Koriean brand its musch better than that. If you planning for Creata extend your budget and go for Jeep.

Areas of improvement As I told, its seems to me there are lots of future plans to enhance this vehicle. Remote Keys has 4 keys with two still to be added as a features.

the build quality is superb. Space is much more than Creta. Comfort is goodDashboard doesn't look like a cockpit if you compare with German car or even korean manufacturer
