The doors feel solid, and overall, the car gives a strong and safe feel, which is something you notice every day while using it. When it comes to driving, the diesel engine is not very aggressive but it is reliable and predictable. In city traffic, there is a slight lag at low speed, especially in bumper-to-bumper conditions, and you need to manage the gears properly. Once the car picks up speed, it feels smooth and comfortable. On highways, it performs much better and feels stable even at higher speeds. Overtaking is not an issue, but you do need to downshift for quick acceleration. Mileage has been one of the biggest positives for me. In city driving, I usually get close to around 18 to 20 km per litre, while on highways, it easily goes above that. With mixed usage, the overall fuel efficiency has been quite satisfying and one of the reasons I prefer this car for daily use. Comfort is another area where the Altroz really stands out. The suspension handles bad roads quite well, and you don’t feel too many bumps inside the cabin.
