      This is a review for the 2017-2021 Jeep Compass that I own, not the Facelift one. So I got my Jeep Compass Limited (O) DCT Petrol from "Pride" - Jeep's local dealership in Rajkot - Gujarat in March 2018. ever since then this has been my daily drive, I have clocked about 50,000 km. in almost 3 yr. span. & below is my experience with the beast- Engine: It is a petrol turbo that makes 160 BHP @5500 RPM, & with a max torque of 250 nm between 2500-4000 rpm, there is enough power on demand but coming from the Skoda Superb TSI petrol (my previous car) & comparing it with the superb, Jeep's engine feels a bit lazy and you have to rev it a bit harder. it did a 0 to 100 km/h in about 10.4 seconds when I tested it. However, the engine is a bit noisy and you might mistake it for diesel on quieter nights (from the outside). Interior: The quality of the interiors, the fit and finish, the overall feel of the car is really good, the major drawback being the infotainment system which is a bit slow and utterly dated. Comfort: This is where it disappoints you a bit, not the front seats it's the rear seats that should have been more inclined or with the option of inclination, they are a bit upright, & the rear-seat passenger loses a bit on comfort. the suspensions on the other hand are meant to take bad roads with ease, I mean sometimes you won't even feel a sizeable pothole. Mileage: Well if you accelerate the car in a nice and easy way (not going flat out on the throttle) it will give you a decent city mileage, let's say around 9-10 km/l. and on the highways, if you choose to cruise around 100-120 km/h. then this thing will get you easily around 14-15 km/l. However, the mileage will go as low as 6 km/l combined if you are a rash city driver and love speeding, let's say around 140-160 km/h on the highways. The Verdict: If you are looking for a proper go-anywhere SUV, the Jeep Compass won't disappoint you a bit. however, if you are looking for cheap options with the world of features, there are other so-called SUVs that are actually cars, E.g. MG Hector, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta. Trust me the Jeep Compass drives a whole lot better, feels a whole lot grounded even at 140-160kmph., it has got all the core qualities of an SUV, on the other hand, the MGs, the Kia's, the Hyundai's are not true-blue SUVs.

      I got my jeep compass in August 2021. Every time that I have turned on the car it has brought a smile on my face. The car definitely is a driver's car and gives you immense pleasure as you grab the steering wheel and push the accelerator. The 2021 model has changed drastically on the inside and the cabin feels very plush and elegant as compared to the previous generation. The interior of the car is class apart and no other car in the segment or the segment above it comes close to the Compass. It makes a perfect dovetail between driving pleasure and luxury. Also I would like to compliment the build quality of the car. The car feels rock solid and gives you confidence behind the wheel. The car is a beast and is a machine which loves to be pushed and driven. To all those who love driving, close your eyes and bring home your Jeep Compass.

      Very expensive parts and no quality frequently changed same parts also the service is poor and taking so much time to change a small part not happy with the vehicle and no resale value.

      The buying experience was good .It is fun to drive , a bit heavy on the road but that is good, Feels like a car with firm footing. The looks are great especially in the green colour. Servicing experience was good but: The noise is such a factor that it deserves a paragraph or two: as others have mentioned- there is a clicking noise coming from the cabin and it keeps changing- sometimes from the right sometimes from the left and sometimes from under the dashboard. The wires under the from passenger seat have a white box like thing that knocks on the frame of the seat and makes a noise. The service centre don't generally have a clue. Sometimes the noise comes after the car get heated up in the sun while parked outside. So if you are a musician who can hear the separate sounds from the music playing on the stereo- this car is not for you. Don't depend on the service engineers to work it out. Just grin and bear it.

      Buying experience was really good from Landmark Jeep. Drive is good as per the engine, excellent ride quality. Stunning looks for the dual tone. Might have been better with a 2 ltr engine but again that will take a toll on mileage. The engine is charged after initial first 2 gears. Getting 9.8 km/l to 10.6 km/l in city with ac and moderate traffic and in a radius of 7 kms only. It goes to 11.3 km/l when driven around 20 kms at a stretch with full ac. Tank to tank its 10.6 km/l. With heavy traffic it can come down to 8 km/l. Service pending. For pros it has a sturdy built quality, amazing interior, excellent for 4 passengers. For cons it should have front parking sensors, cooled glove box and paddle shifter. Sometimes little rattling noise comes and goes. But overall a good package.
