Exterior Good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Poor quality plastics  all compartment locks fail It seems while saving cost you forgot that its moving product which faces road and harsh environment and is engineering product rather than just asthetic product.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox OK.

Ride Quality & Handling Poor, you dont feel like driving 16 Lacs SUV.

Final Words Good Design, Feature loaded but Manufacturing Quality is Pathetic.

Service and Spares are just Fleecing business. Transmission and Steering has serious flaws

Plastics are all cheap , Sensor and other electronics are cheap chinese parts which function erratic and fail too often and then due to high replacement cost customer leaves them as it is and company data base shows no defects

Areas of improvement Improve on manufacturing Quality. An SUV with maximum features where most of them malfuctioning is less of pleasure and more of Pain.

Train your service engineers. Service Team is worst among all major auto companies.Please learn from Maruti as to what is Service support, manufacturing Quality and Product Reilabilty or else you will go the Tata Indica way.

Indian SUVService is simply fleecing , it will cost you 1 to 2 lacs/year as every thing will fail & costly

Pros: On-time delivery, love riding my cheetah & it's a pride on the road, off-roading performance is satisfactory , exterior looks attracts to take a look at it .. Maintenance is affordable and it's all upto the dealers ... Pros: value for money Cons: interior plastic quality to be improved to make the cheetah more premium.. Verdict: go for luxury cheetah at an affordable value.....

My Best buddy: When XUV500 launched, I was crazy on it.... But I couldn't buy that time.. I waited almost 5 yrs to buy.. finally brought New age XUV 5OO in 2016... I loved its style, macho look... Unbeatable performance on the road. I'm using FWD still I m able to do offroading.... Amazing features.. before I think... The car is more proactive in terms of Auto lights, breaking and what not... What I didn't not like: After sale the service was not up to the mark.. we need to remaind the service engineer every time. For XUV there should be separate service center... It needs more attention than any other cars...

One of the biggest reason is the looks of the car

It really feels the right FIT for Indian Customer Expectation in terms of looks

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

One of the Top end features are available in W8 and this is really value for money

Space is enormous and one can strech , work, eat , roam easily

Comfort is OK to be honest as the car is more sportish 

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

So far no complaints from Engine - It is OK and very much made for Indian market needs

Pickup and Stop tells that Car is worked for Indian roads and almost every kind of Indian road (whether rural or urban)

Fuel economy is all good

Gearbox : Initially if you come from Honda style gearbox you may be suprised but gearbox again is very much made for Indian needs  

 

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride Quality is very good on hill stations and city driving is OK as you cannot apply full power of the car anywhere in city

Handling is very easy to manouver as again made for Indian road needs and you can turn around, roll the car with ease and quick response

Buy Buy Buy - XUV 500 is made for Indian market ,protects you on dangerous India roads and gives you the value for money

 Suspension smoothness

Interiors need to be upscale as per other Germany SUV offers

 

PS: Mahindra can intro top end version with luxury interiors

 

Great Looks, Features, Styling , SafetyInteriors need more International working like other Germany SUV

4. Service and maintanance. If you don't get foot marks on carpet means it's not serviced. That's trademark of m&m If you still have one complain left after delivery from service center than they have addressed other issues If it's not washed after service than your attendee has half day off. If it's delivered late in the evening than some one is trying to cover up something If your bill is not above 25k after 4 years of ownership than either you have not driven the car or service center is related to you...... Please learn from Hyundai and Toyota
