The evolution of Mahindra’s Thar E concept, dubbed Vision T, will be unveiled on 15 August. Underpinned by the INGLO-P1 skateboard EV platform, it will feature a boxy, SUV body style. It is also expected to get a five-door option, a dual-motor AWD, removable interior and exterior parts for convenience, and a high ground clearance (up to 300mm).

In terms of design, the Thar.e will get a new grille with the model badging and three vertically stacked LEDs on either side, rounded square LED headlights, and grey front and rear skid plates. It will also receive dual-tone alloy wheels, chunky squared wheel cladding, rear door handles on the C-pillar, square LED taillights, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
The interior of the lifestyle electric SUV will feature a new centre console dominated by a large touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument console, new multifunction steering wheel with the Thar.e logo at the centre, and grab-rails on either side of the new dashboard.
What will be the battery pack, powertrain, and specifications of the Mahindra Thar.e?
Mahindra has not revealed the specifications of the Thar.e. That said, the model is likely to be powered by a 60kWh battery pack paired with two electric motors. There could be one electric motor on each axle, thus enabling 4WD capability.
