    DRIVING:

Scorpio is already the Best Indian SUV by Mahindra who is the leading manufacturer of utility vehciles in India. Scorpio has no need of a review as such but since the New 2009 refreshed version of Scorpio is doing the round of the markets, lets have a look at the New version.

    Engine:
What is most characteristic about an SUV? Its is most definitely the power of its engine. In Scorpio, the 2.2 litre , 4-cylinder mHawk Engine is one powerhouse of a engine. The Scorpio can do 0 to 60 in about 6 seconds. It produces 120 bhp of power. Now that is a lot of power ad you can definitely feel it when you’re driving a Scorpio.

    Safety measures:
Mahindra Scorpio has been manufactured with Safety in mind. Its design makes the steering column crumple in case of frontal collision. There are also the unyeilding steel bars in the doors.

    Suspension:
What truely makes Scorpio the SUV is its suspension. A SUV can be called an SUV when you can drive your vehcile easily over bumpy and ruged terrain. Scorpio’s suspension is the best when negotiating bumpy roads. It is best for the potholed Indian roads. Its 4Wd suspension includes Coil Spring, Anti Roll Bar and Torsion bar in the front and Multilink and coil spring in the rear suspension. Scorpio is ideal for drivers who like a little adventure and risk. Off-roading is possible with a Mahindra Scorpio. So if you like, take a chance and try it once in a while with Scorpio.

    Mileage:
Suv’s are supposed to be Gas Guzzlers. But a mileage of 9 to 11 kmpl is good for a vehicle of Scorpio’s size and Power.

    Interiors:
The upholstery and interior has taken quite a bit of change as compared to older versions. The dual tone upholstery with new arm rests and a seat design that will give you maximum comfort makes traveling in Scorpio a pleasurable experience. The seats can be slided for creating extra leg room also.

    Power steering:
Scorpio can be easily manuvered around because of the excellent control of its Power Steering.

    Looks:
The main variation that the Refreshed Scorpio provides is the Muscular look. The front Bumper is more chunky and the Signature Mahindra Grille looks more imposing with the Silver tooth. The Front bumper comes with ar dams, mud flaps and Fog lights. The Body design is also very appealing. Scorpio looks like a SUV is supposed to look. Very Muscular, very Sporty.

The best new addition: Powered ORVM’s
The New Scorpio comes with pair of electronically controlled Rear View Mirrors. They can be controlled with a push of a button which is very handy for any type of car.

I love Scorpio and will always recommend Scorpio to others. If you like you can check out the New Mighty muscular Scorpio

Sporty looks, excellent suspension, Tremendous powerNone
