      I had taken test drive Three Times to convince myself to take delivery of the GTX Plus AT , which I booked pre-launch. Unfortunately, more I drived, more dissatisfied from all angles. Cost is too High - Top Model 20.50 lakhs. Fuel average not more than 9 or 10 KMPH when I reset to Zero and tested myself. Seating in both rows is very uncomfortable. Navigation is very confusing. HUD is distracting during driving. Sun-Roof is First Manual opening & then Electric . Diffrent drive mode could not be tested during test drive, so not sure about their performance. Test vehicle Tyre pressure shows 47: 45:41: 46. Sales man told that they will get adjusted in Workshop. As its a wrong measurements. Its a complete waste of money and will be proven a complete failure vehicle. Adding 1.5 lakhs, I will go for CIVIC which is a luxurious and full comfort car in but that too when will be available in BS-VI engine only.

    • A modern bullock cart nothing else

      After spending 15.5 + lakhs you get basic features. HTX, HTX+ Petrol variants even do not have rear disk brakes! Only 2 airbags, no eps, no brake assist, no traction control! Wtf you get after so much just a look! They thinks Indians are cattles and they are dumb, they don't require safety? Can kia lust out details of features launched in Korea and elsewhere? People must stop buying this bullock cart!,

      I saw lots of people cribbing about how kia has come up with weak engines or price is little high.its a mid size suv.which competes with creta ,ecosport,duster.one can buy a good feature loaded car within 11 lakh.if you have budget more than that,then one can go for hector,harrier etc.as i am getting 1.5 lit petrol a one above base model within 11 lakh.its a good engine.5 people with all their luggage can accommodate easily.you are getting rugged looks(not like soft looking creta).what do you guys want in 10-11 lakh budget car.as i said if you have budget more than 11 lakh,then this may not be fit for you.comments likhne se pehle socha karo.11 lakh ke gaadi se fortuner ya endeavour wala tasan kyon expect karte ho.

    • Kia is taking Indian customers for ride and cashing on pre bookings and variant trap

      Kia seltos is no doubt a very good car in its segment but is it really worth that price? Has it priced it logically in a weak automobile market ? Is it worth paying premium for BS 6 diesel engines well before rules come in ? Why not buy other cars with best service network and great deals which will be more sweeter with GST cuts in few weeks ? Kia has opened pre bookings very early to see the demand. And seeing Indian customers' interest in seltos, it has priced the base (useless) variant below 10 lakhs to fool us. And other variants (which are worth buying) are priced high. If you look at pricing, base petrol and diesel variant differ by 30k only but all other variants have price difference of 1-1.2 lakhs. Few more fooling techniques adopted by kia : They created HT and GT lines to confuse customers and force us to buy costly variants. Top HTX plus doesnt get even safety features of GTX plus, leave alone few fancy features. AT is priced 1 lakh more than its respective variant, but no safety features are given as bonus (other car makers do that). DCT technology is new and it is tried on us , that too with premium pricing. Top variants of diesel AT and petrol DCT are priced same and also the base diesel and petrol MT are closely priced, but in between they are differing by 1-1.2 lakhs. Summary is that we all are at fault, since we have shown interest in seltos well before launch and pre-booked in large numbers. This has given kia (the new entrant) the confidence to price their models on higher side , even when automobile industry is facing biggest slump. Once crazy emotions come down for Indian customers, reality will sink in their minds and people will analyse closely the premium they are paying unnecessarily. It is not any hot cake that will be unavailable if you don't rush and buy now. Otherwise how dare a new comer company shall take Indian customers for ride and happily cashing in on their confusion, when all other car makers are reeling under pressure of slowdown. I have also booked this car, but I am not convinced to buy and take delivery for this same reason. HTX plus AT is wrongly over priced and it is same with few more variants. Why pay so much premium for untested car and company in a discounted market. This is my personal view. Pls comment on my review and suggest if my analysis is correct and is it worth waiting.

      1. We have purchased Kia seltos htx cvt 1.5 (petrol) at Tirupati few months ago , showroom members are received in good manner. 2. Coming to my riding experience is good and less noise in inside cabine it's feeling like electric car moreover, always maintain good smell in inside with purified air, steering wheel is very smooth to handle. 3. Look wise handsome each side of the vehicle can see different new look it is quiet good actually. Engine Performance is good and gear shifting process is smooth, 4. automatic---> I get mileage at highway 13.5 to 16.5km/h. On cities 9.5km/h to 11.5km/h depending on traffic & driving. Maintance cost is little bit better compare to other vehicle like hundai Creta, venue ,vw polo GT. 5.Pros.. handling is good on roads, definitely improve your dignity. Get so much joy running like fortuner, Tata harrier . Uvo connectivity , particularly MAP guidence is good with display of lanes.good looking seats are very comfortable to drive long journeys. Good Mileage . Build quality is good . 6. Not have illuminated switches to operate windows. Some times overtaking in quickly it have to take little bit time for change gear #Overall my opinion is best value for money . People looking for technology and luxurious with less money this car is perfect choice to buy. Thank you!!.

      Regarding buying experience it lots of time to select the variant and little waiting period for car to take delivery . Regarding riding best ride quality front suspension is very good and rear suspension could be little stiffer it bounces when some big speed breakers or big pot holes came along otherwise ride quality is very good Regarding looks it's really a badass especially when nights it looks like a beast,and when it comes to performance as a diesel version owner it is refined and nvh levels are to good of course there is a turbo lag below 1200 rpm but it's minute not a problem at all little bouncy in bad roads and very stable at high speeds on highways braking is awesome and light of car could be increased Regarding servicing I had completed 1st service company gave me 3free services not a single rupee is charged for these three but after that have to see and maintenance 10000 km or 1 year time period for service intervals Regarding Pro s, nice design, roomy cabin,refined engine,good mileage, yeah that Bose sound system ventilated seats and connected car features, Regarding cons Lighting of car could be increased, tough it is a connected car updates doesn't come on ota should go to service center for updates,AC at rear could be better,and there is no aux pin is available for system,and even in high end model you get only two air bags it could be six for high in tech like be also. Verdict According to my experience seltos diesel is a nice car with lots of features and for long drives good car to be in and it is the best car in its segment for now in the market with bs6 complaint engine for now I'm getting mileage of 15 to 16 in city and 18 to 20 on high ways I think it will increase after getting bs6 fuel in market

      I have bought kia seltos almost a month back, the car is smooth in driving, it is loaded with many features, the only I m not happy with is the mileage, company is claiming 18 for auto but in cities, u hardly get 9 kmpl, on the highway the car gets around 13kmpl. If u don't have much to do with the mileage then this is a perfect premium car at this cost.

    • UVO not working

      Pros. Good exterior with LED lights, road presence..space, comfort, milage.. Cons. Power, handling, clutch position with long lever, UVO is useless and not working , I have been connected only 20 days , not working since 2 months inspite of plenty of call and mails still not fixed....... limited location for service

    • Excellent Car which needs software improvements (GPS and Voice) Model HTX1.5 Petrol

      trBought HTX 1.5 Petrol - Given this is 16L car this had to have more and i am very happy with most of the things. Below are my thoughts 1. Excellent looks of car external and internal, also lots of features like steering wheel adjustment, auto ac, many charging ports, sensors like TPMS. 2. The infotainment system is very good and the instrument cluster is superb. 3. Sunroof was added to this model was definitely and pleasant surprise since we had booked earlier. 4. Excellent driving feel and many times i cant know if the engine is even on 5. Enormous amount of space both for back seat and boot. Overall we are very happy with the car i do feel that at this price point couple feature could have been improved 1. GPS Software needs a lot of improvement. It's not reliable. Example - Lots of search does not work. when starting trip it mentions a time but over the trip its changes drastically e.g. It was showing a 35 mins (based on usually driving and traffic we know it would take about 1hr) and the GPS keeps changing the time. This is not good when we are out of town and rely on GPS heavily. 2. Voice assistant is worst i do not understand well. Also though UVO is definitely good but that also needs improvement there was a trip with a travel time of 1:10 mins but its showing 2hrs 50mins not sure why, 3. Instead of cruise control. The car could have improved safety features a little more like couple more airbag or hill assists feature. 5. When taking right turn I feel a bit difficult too see the opposite traffic due to A-pillar. Not sure maybe need a bit of practice. During test drive please try to check. Minor thing - When AC is ON, the pick up low hence when overtaking i am used to switch off AC at times. The placement of AC on/off is not easily accessibly for driver. May be this is something that i also need to change my way of driving. Most of these like GPS/Voice/UVO can be fixed via software update. I really hope KIA does this. Overall - Excellent Car and Super Happy with the Purchase and a big upgrade for me compared to my previous car, the miss are some few safety features and need software correction/update.
