Jaguar XE Facelift
XE Facelift Preview
The entry-level Jaguar, the XE has been spied on test earlier this year. The upcoming Jaguar XE facelift is due for launch in India on 4 December 2019. It is believed that the vehicle might be first be introduced with a BS-VI petrol engine followed by a BS-VI diesel at a later date.
In terms of design, the XE facelift is expected to get mild cosmetic updates over its predecessor for freshness. The test mule featured redesigned headlamps along with new J-shaped DRLs for freshness. The sides appear more of less the same as the current model except for a set of new alloy wheels. The rear looks fresh with a set of redesigned tail lamps.
The updated Jaguar XE is expected to continue being powered by existing engine options. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine is available in two different states. In the base Prestige and mid-spec Portfolio variant, the petrol engine generates 197bhp and 320Nm of peak torque, while the top-spec gets the higher power output producing petrol engine that puts out 247bhp and 365Nm of peak torque. The diesel version on the other gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine which produces 177bhp and 430Nm of peak torque.
