Engine Performance ENGINE IS VERY NOISY, CABIN NOISE TOO HIGH, NO COMFORT WHILE DRIVING.

AIR SUCTION PIPE ARE TOO LOW THAT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST OF RAIN TENDS TO ENGINE SEIZE.

Ride Quality & Handling SUSPENSION ARE NOT GOOD.

Final Words HIGH MAINTAINENCE COST, VERY LIGHT BODY A SLIGHTEST OF ACCIDENT  CAN DAMAGE A FULL DOOR , SUSPENSIONS ARE POOR, NO GUARANTEE OF ENGINE THAT IT WILL WITHSTAND LOW LEVEL OF WATER.

Areas of improvement Stop doing cost cutting in the way that the whole  feel of the car changes after certain thousand kilometers.

Suspension need to be improved, cabin noise is too high, you cannot enjoy your ride untill you turn your music system to 50%

Keys get wear out after only 40 thousand kilometers, need to improve quality of the keys

Air suction pipes should be redesigned so that car engine dosent seize in low level of waters on the roads. (I had seen 40 cars at a time in honda service centre with engine seized problem which cost mininmum 1lakh  and go upto 2.5 lakhs).

Areas of improvement  

 Before buying a Honda car, following things are required to be kept in mind:

 

 

1.       They will assure you to provide extended warranty of the car but in reality they don’t provide after taking money

2.       They will assure you to provide road side assistance but in reality they don’t provide after taking money

3.       In case of any defect in any part of the car, there standard answer will be, it is not manufacturing defect and cause is the external factor. So in reality their so called warranty on the car is Zero and you will never get any replacement of the defective part.

4.       Claim of taking all safety measure in car are false

5.       New drama of Honda Assure is again a tactic of extorting money from the innocent customer without providing so called assurance at any single point in time.

6.       Most important, the car can be burnt at any point of time due to defect and malfunction in the engine and other parts, on report to them, they will tell you that you are the foolish one to buy car from them and again standard answer will be it is not manufacturing defect and cause is the external factor.

7.       After eating up your hard earned money, they will send their so called customer relationship personnel, who are actually bulldogs, behind you and they will enjoy by laughing on your pain and wound and will again try to beat you by their artificial mail of sorry without any concern of life and limb of human being.

8.       All the time your voice will not be able to touch deaf years of Honda, their directors and management.

9.       Their so called authorized dealers are the live example of misbehavior and of course they will make sure that any kind of assistance will not be provided to you.

I have purchased Honda City SVMT in July 2016 and till date it ran around 30000Kms. in this very short span of time I found following quality issues with this car: 

1) Honda team is not committed on their words for while selling a car= They committed me lot of freebies but just after getting DO (delivery Order) from financier they forget all the things

2) While accelerating,abnormal sounds coming from engine=Nobody is able to identify at their workshop

3)Seat Belt tightness lost its proper tension = getting loose= dangerous

4)Horn sounds like "Vicks ki goli lo Khichkhich door karo"= Honda changed the horn twice & once repair but still the same problem!!!!

5)Sometimes car wobbling even after proper alignment & balancing

6)most surprisingly, car window vibrates too much while opening & closing

7)Audio system= automatically all the settings wash out suddenly

8)Blue tooth connectivity=sometimes connect, sometimes afraid

9)During rain when some water going inside the window glass, it operates automatically up & down

10)Outside smells coming inside the car even after all the things closed

How the health will remain good of my HONDA CITY car for me in a long  run!!!!!

Certainly, it shows the character of Honda.... where once sold the car, take feedback from the customer but at the time of providing solution -convey to the customer that "This poor quality will remain the same".

Is there anybody in HONDA to take care of their baby "HONDA CITY"???

Exterior VERY GOOD.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I bought Honda City (V MT iVTEC (Manual)) from Emerald Honda in Jan 2017, Ahmedabad and right from beginning the gear shifting had problem. It was difficult to drive this car day by day. I kept telling service people in all my free services but I was fooled around that gradually it will be smoothed and that is how they kept dragging this issue. By this time 1st, 2nd gear both were creating trouble. Later they admitted that there is some serious internal problem. I sought help from Honda Cars India Ltd also but so far not concluded. I have asked for car replacement as this is a defective product from beginning. It has manufacturing defect!! It also caused me tremendous mental trauma every day as my 12 lacs at risk. This tension also hampers my health. Every time I get back my car after ‘gear correction TRIAL” I feel unfamiliar with my car as the clutch setting is changed and it gives me so much of pain and trauma in my heart and mind. I feel this car is already old. I have taken City with all the joy and charm which is totally lost now and I don’t feel like driving this car anymore. I have used my hard earned money to buy this! In fact it’s a matter of worry for me now. I need the replacement of this defective expensive car or full refund. By now ALL the gears, clutch settings are impacted adversely due to delay in resolution this from Honda/Emerald. This will also give me a big loss at the time of re sale. I demand justice and therefore replacement of this car. Emerald also forcefully asked us to agree on some weird conditions which they don't do in all other cases. I suspect whether they were aware of the issue before even selling this car.

I plead Consumer helpline to hear me and get me justice at earliest. Thanks in anticipation.

Overall look and brand appealGear shifting is hard, no attention to service complant

So here’s the review for the most luxurious car of this segment. With a brand name Honda, this car stands out a little bit. Its very easily available without booking or on a very short notice period, that's the best quality when you plan to buy a car. If we talk about its comfort, handling, braking etc. this car gives you ample legroom and space for 5 persons. If you are tall you got no problem with it. Comfort doesn’t include just space, the most important part of comfort in India is air conditioning, honda city has the WORST AC in its segment. Just take the test drive in a summer afternoon, and you’ll almost reject it. Braking Includes ABS and it has the best handling experience in its segment after VW VENTO . LOOKWISE IT GETS 10/10. Interior of this car is very nice and it gives you full luxurious feel with leather seats and a very nice dashboard and touch climate control and audio system. Safety is the key feature, except ZX you’ll get just 2 airbags, the chassis and the body is solid, in comparison with VERNA and CIAZ . Servicing and maintenance of this car will give you a big smile, according to its brand value, comfort and performance it will not give a hole in your pocket, regular service will cost you somewhere around ? 4000-5,000. I was very excited when I purchased the honda city! Its been 5 years since I bought the car. It still has an amazing milage. It had an performance and a really good looking car. The service and maintenance isn't costly. That's it. I'm really satisfied with honda ??.

Their speciality was they maintained international level standards earlier. But now they keep reducing standards to bring them to an Indian level.

Honda!! Why are you learning things from the TATA's ??

CIVIC and the old JAZZ were the best models in their segments and they just stopped them.. Now they are coming up with new JAZZ and I am sure that the qualities won't be anywhere near the older one..

What was wrong in the third generation honda city design and what have they come up with the new 4th generation one? They have stopped the jazz and come up with the amaze. Although Amaze is a sedan, can you really compare its value / quality with the jazz?? 

I am afraid to write something good about honda here because they will research on that and make sure to remove these good things in the next model they are going to make .. 

If anything good i write, they will make sure it will not be available on the next versiondont like any of their new models

Exterior Though design is fresh and attractive, build quality is horrible. Metal used is very thin and the joints to connect various exterior parts are very weak. Zero marks from my side on exterior build quality. Honda, you need to stop COST CUTTING in this department, please realize there are cars by other brands in same price range with much superior build quality and almost same engine performance. Wake up !!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Not much complaints on Interiors as of now ! Though plastic used seems to be of inferior quality and that there is very intense smell from dashboard which I am not sure as to when I will get rid of !

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is the USP of Honda and if engine performance is one of the major criteria for you, its a good deal !

Ride Quality & Handling Good and comfortable as its a new car. Suspension could have been a bit better, after all, Honda supension system was once reputed due to its solidity which now does not appear to be the case. Tyres used are very skinny which is due to two reasons- cost cutting and to get ARAI mileage certifications. But here Honda is compromising with safety of Indian customers. Stock tyres supplied are mostly Goodyear or MRF, and Goodyear tyres are famous for all bad reasons and tyre bursts. If you buy a car, please upgrade your tyres to either Michelin or Bridgestone as dealers would give you a good price for old tyres. After all, its all about safety and everyone wants to be safe as there is no second chance in life !! Surprisingly, the tyres Honda fits on the exported cars are broader and of suprerior quality, because due to strict local safety laws in those countries Honda cannot sell crap and cheap products there !!

Final Words If your preference is only engine performance, then go for it. If you also want good build quality and quality interiors, sorry its NOT a car made for you !!

Areas of improvement AVN is a good option compared to vx but not thought of givng same way of operatioal ports as lower version instead of cables in dashboard which is full of wires. ipad pin is the older version and not giver latest small pin.

If you want to change the USB drive everytime you have to open the dash board. the storage space is sopiled because of wires ocupying it. 

Videos will not play in the avn and says watching while driving is against saftey standards. i dont think honda is the only company who thought driver watches the vedios and not thought of people who are sitting have to get bored and should stop the vehicle to watch the vedio. 

Overall Experience

Not satisfied with the extra price paid for the AVN should have given good finish if they should have thought of giving them as older version.
