I Purchased skoda rapid style AT in Jan 2017. Unfortunately I had to sell it within 4 mths. I was fade up with the performance of the vehicle. It was under powered with lack of pick up, AT gear shift problems, Gears were not shifting till 4000 to 4500 rpm. usaually gear should shift in bet 2500 to 3000 rpm max. Tried to complain with dealer also to company but could not get satisfactory out come. Dealer accepted it as manufacturing fault in gear box and told it can not be rectified. On single highway it was nightmare to overtake any vehicle. since gears were not shifting vehicle made a loud noise with no speed. Felt very unsafe. Few features promised at the time of purchase were never part of the vehicle. for example ,skoda mobile remote which never worked for the vehicle. reverse camera was never feature of the vehicle. Average claimed was 22 km by co. In fact it never crossed13 to 14 km even for highway running. The worst car I ever purchased. On top of it Skoda Maintenance is also high. So beware while purchasing Skoda cars.

I have purchased my rapid in 2013 and driven 96k km and still driving. I drove around Bangalore traffic and the ride quality Is excellent. I never felt any back pain or neck pain till now. Stability on road, high speed handling, steering handling, speaker quality, mileage, driving position, AC quality every thing is excellent. Maintanats is not very high. Only you have to replace your clutch after 45k km and Break pad after 21K. Pros High Spare parts quality Millage Ride comfort on high speed and low speed Less gear shift Low body roll Less tyre consumption.
Cons- Lack of product awareness

Exterior It is understated, gentle and sober.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Inside is spacious, airy and comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine and pick up, trouble free, bit of noisy though, gear box is smooth and slots in perfectly, Great mileage (18-23), quality material and sturdy build, comfortable seats, great music system, good steering feed back. Over all great car performance wise.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good, no complaints at all, I love my skoda when I am driving it, nothing can beat it in pick up, speed and handling.
Final Words Great car at this budget. Much better than Honda, Hyundai and Maruti. Never faced any issues while servicing at Mahivir. Vehicle has never dended any special care and no issues at all. Feel sorry when I see other owners remarks with Mahavir.
Areas of improvement Suspension makes a THUD sound on bumps, one has to be real gentle while negotiating bumps. Clutch is bit hard. That black and white combo is a bit off let down, it could be more inspiring I guess.

I AM DRIVING SKODA SINCE LAST 6 YEARS AND BELIEVE ME, ITS THE BEST CAR I HAVE EVER HAD. PACKED WITH SMART FEATURES AND SOLID STRENGTH, IT GIVES U A FEELING OF COMPACT SEDAN.
INTERIOR IS JUST PERFECT. NO NONSENCE. VERY EELGANT AND COSY Interior. IT GIVES THE FEATURES WHICH ARE JUST NEEDED FOR A FAMILY CAR. ADDITION OF A SUNROOF MAY BE WELCOME FEATURE WHICH CHILDREN ARE CRAZY ABOUT. SUSOENSION FEELS A BIT ON A STIFFER SIDE BUT ITS QUITE STURDY.
BEST PICKUP, BEST AVERAGE IN ITS CLASS. COMPACT SINGLE UNIT FEELING.
GEARBOX EXCELLENT . SMOOTH GEAR SHIFTING SMOOTH.

I THINK SKODA NEEDS TO IMPROVE ITS CABINE INSULATION. COS IN DISELE VERSIONS, IT S ROARING WHEN U PICK UP SPPED (WHICH SOMETIMES FEEL GOOD), BUT AS COMPARED TO OTHER VERSIONS - OF HUNDAI E.G VERNA AND ALL - ITS A BIT NOISY .
OTHER THINGS ARE UP TO THE MARK.

This is image of this car in India that you have to spend lot money on services. Service centres are froud specially Jai Auto in Gurgaon. Your spare part will be replaced. I have new skoda rapid running 30000Rs ana almost spend 1-2 0Lac Rs on its service.The ressale value is pathetic 230000/- for that much new car.
