Volkswagen Motorsport India begins registrations for Polo R Cup 2014

Volkswagen Motorsport India has commenced registrations for the fifth season of the Polo R Cup, India, in a bid to produce some of the finest racing drivers in the country.

The registrations forms are available on Volkswagen Motorsport India website (www.volkswagen-motorsport.in). The interested participants can fill these forms and send them across through email addressed to polocup@volkswagen.co.in. The last date for the registrations is February 15, 2014. The drivers will be intimated about the driver selection program, which is scheduled to be held in March. The selections will take place at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, where each driver will go through a series of tests and challenges to see his/her consistency, talent, pace and willingness to learn.

The Volkswagen Polo R Cup India, conducted by the German carmaker, has seen quite a following in the country. The last four seasons of the races have seen the participation of many budding racers and motorsports enthusiasts. Right from the beginning, the racing competition has been open to everyone- from novices to experienced drivers. Amongst these, many say that the Polo R Cup India has proved to be their first step in their racing careers. The championship has also acted as a stepping stone for several others to graduate to international series or progress deeper into the world of racing.
