      I own a 2016 S-cross zeta 1.3 model

Exterior Not Outstanding premium looks, But excellent practical design

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good quality plastics and controls, Superb music system, Top seating position and comfort, Premium looks in all area.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superb.

Ride Quality & Handling Outstanding, Good driving position, Good visibility and access to controls.

Final Words Better value for money car! For that price S-cross offers a most refined, featured car with stunning drivability and comfort. When I took a test drive on s-cross I wondered , is it a maruti or not?

For small size people like me :) It offers a superb visibility in its high driving position. If you are looking for a car with high ground clearence, the s cross is the best option. It take you to a new level of driving comfort like a laxuary car and cruise like an SUV. The suspension is perfectly tuned and the shock absorbing capability is remarkable.

Areas of improvement Should provide the same HID head light  for all variants.

      Drive it like a breeze...Nothing

      Exterior

Considering the design, at 4.3m in length, this car just looks like an overgrown hatchback. The look may not appeal most of us but in the long run the look would not matter anymore.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

The exterior may disappoint you but the interior gives exactly the opposite feeling. The longer wheelbase provides a class leading space or legroom for the rear passenger. Driver seat gives you the comfort for those long drives. Also the front row arm rest is quite useful for the driver and passenger. All black interior adds a premium feeling. It has very practical storage options to keep all your Knick knacks. all doors have 1 litre bottle storage. Even though it lacks rear AC vents but it manages to keep the entire cabin cool.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy

Runs on tried and tested DDis 200(which I own) and DDis 300 engine. I will be sharing the review for the DDis 200. The turbo lag is evident till 1800 rpm. Once the barrier is crossed then it is a fun machine to drive. The initial observation of fuel consumption in city is 16kmpl and on highway it is 18kmpl with AC on. However I would consider the actuals once it is driven 1000kms.

      Ride Quality & Handling

The suspension is on the stiffer side. On higher speed it absorbs all the potholes with ease. The NVH level somehow kept in lower side. It could have been better. I expected the steering to be more responsive if we compare with some of the competitors. I would recommend the tires to be changed. The JK tires does not giving the confidence while cornering or stopping.

      Final Words

This is an underrated vehicle which gives lot of features at this price point. Maruti did a horrible mistake when launched this with a higher price tag. However, they have realised it and reduced the price to a considerable amount. From my personal experience I would suggest this car to my friends and family.

Space, Interior look and feel, Size, Tried and Tested DDis engine 1.3L, Maruti Tag, Rear passenger sStill little overpriced after the discounts, Ground Clearance(expected at least 190mm)

      Exterior- is good

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)- driving is very comfortable, sufficient boot space, attractive dashboard.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox- I purchased 1.6 zeta model 2 months back and have driven about 3000 km. Engine performance is too good except noise especially during initial phase of acceleration. I have problem with gear shifting which is not so smooth during 1st and 2nd gear shift. Sometimes it feels stuck. Maruti technicians say it will resolve after 2nd service.

Ride Quality & Handling- Ride quality and handling is very good especially on highway. The suspension is slightly rigid compared to ecosport and creta but still its good.

Final Words- Its a nice car at this price and value for money. Its a rare car on road but feel good. Excellent ride quality. I have tried ecosport and creta also but the pick up and speeding of s cross 1.6 is far away than its rivals.

Areas of improvement  - Gear box  and engine noise needs to improved.

Great engine, excellent pick up, stableGear box is not so smooth especially during 1st and 2nd gear shift, little bit noisy engine

Exterior I don't have much to tell about exterior,as looks and all are personal choices. At first, I don't call it good looking car,but those projector headlight units are cool. They could've gone for a better design on alloy wheels. It's an cross-over not an SUV,so comparing to other cross-overs s-cross looks big.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Suzuki have somehow managed to bring out premium feel from all black interiors. The leather seats are comfortable and gives proper support. The infotainment system provided by suzuki is the best touch screen system i have ever seen, the touch sensitivity is good. They could've given an rear A/C vent(not that front blowers aren't enough).Plastic quality is way better than other maruthi cars, especially the soft touch plastic on dash.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine wise,1.3L DDIS is a fimilar engine which is used in other suzuki cars like ciaz and ertiga,it's a Fait manufactured engine which produces 89BHP and 200Nm of torque. You have to work on gears when revs come below 1500 rpm except this, the 5 speed manual gearbox is perfect. This engine with 5-speed gearbox makes this car a ultimate driving machine.

Ride Quality & Handling Suspensions are good, they soak up bumps without letting it come inside the cabin. With 180mm of ground clearence, going on huge potholes will never be a problem.

Steering in this car is impressive, it's direct and feels natural (unlike the one in hyundai cars). It comes with all wheel disc brakes which improves the handling.

Final Words Best car under 14 lakh.

Areas of improvement Rear A/C vents.

power, premium interiors ,spacious and infotainment systemno rear A/C vents

Exterior The reviews that say the design is very simple and bland is something I don't agree to. I got mt Alpha 1.3 in Urban Blue and since day one its turning heads. The BiXenon headlamps look brilliant at night. I also got a rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna that makes my premium crossover stand apart from the other crossover and SUVs on road.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious and luxurios. The black leather upholstery is really good. The front and back arm rests are comfortable. The rear also has armrests on the doors. Of great use during long drives. The dashboard is well crafted. The touchscreen infotainment system is well integrated and doesn't feel out of place.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I was concerned about the performance of DDiS 200. But one week of driving S-Cross, and i was assured that I'll get power as and when needed. Excellent for daily city use.

Ride Quality & Handling All four disc brakes. Responsive steering. Slick gearbox. It's a pleasure to drive this vehicle.

Final Words I had booked a Vitara Brezza but I wasn't sure about it. I decided to test drive S-Cross and made up my mind to go for it in a matter of 55 minutes. Vitara Brezza seems like a budget vehicle. Whereas, S-Cross feels very premium and elegant. Mind-blowing.

Areas of improvement Guys. You call it a premium crossover and don't give rear AC vents. Not done. Not cool.

Classy design, premium interiors, fun to drive and reliable engine.Pilot lamps too dim. Can't really flaunt those as DRLs. No rear AC vents.

      Exterior

Build quality is good but not the design , though premium not a head turner ,, .

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

once you get in you will be welcomed with black airy feel of nice cabin.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      engine power

      Ride Quality & Handling

i am totally disappointed with Ride Quality & Handling. the steering is a bit heavier in right than the left side. if the steering is heavy it should be on both side , of if light it must be to both side . but imbalanced is not healthy for driving. they just checked the tire pressure and make it to 35/33 PSI with nitrogen however this didn't solve the problem . sometimes i feel it so heavy in right side that give me a feel of driving a truck , truly speaking this lead to pain in my hand and a bit of mental hesitation just to drive the car. But during 10% of total driving experience  i feel a good soft and balanced steering , when i can get this feeling is a mystery. in bumpy and gravel roads i can feel the road vibrations easily in the steering wheel . At low speed bad or concrete  roads can give very uncomfortable riding as vibrations are felt ,

       Final Words

not good for bad roads , only for smooth bitumen highways ,spacious , powerful, overpriced

      Areas of improvement

steering and suspension ,  HID xenon headlamp is just 25 watt

engine power, all automatic functions, touch screen infotainment, steering feel feedback , riding comfort ,

The other day I happened to see S-Cross in the exhibition.  I was very much overwhelmed by its look– exterior as well as interiors. The interiors give a superb feel of premium class. To get a feel is more important.  Inner leg space both in the font and the rear is fabulous. Will be going for test drive within a week or two.  Considering the cost, some more features are necessary. For e.g.Alloy wheels especially silver ones with attractive design is what is expected. WiFi system will add to its elegance. To sum up, Facelift is a must (not to go the Stingray, WagonR way) coinciding with ample reduction in cost (which is not difficult for Maruti people) for retaining and enhancing its position in this segment. Else, apart from other company's cars, Brezza may outdo S-Cross, perhaps. After cost reduction and facelift I am definitely thinking to go for this premium one.

style, comfort, fuel economy, value for money less, more features are necessary

Exterior Perfect choice after dilemma. The aerodynamic design allows you to overcome air resistance. The cross sectional area and shape factor has to be minimum to reduce air drag. The design is good compared to a large SUV. The ground clearance is 180 mm which is also good. A higher ground clearance shall shift the centre of gravity higher and may be difficult while negoitiating a curve. A lower ground clearance as in sedan may not be optimum for our road conditions with speed breakers. The HID headlamp is pleasant. The electric ORVM is required for our Indian road conditions to give narrow space to other vehicles during city drive. Also it may help during parking and turning. Don't see the physical appearance while buying any car. See the performance, at least theoretical. The choice is S-cross.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Automatic ac, leather seats, parking camera, cruise control, navigation all add to the driving comfort. It is convenient to get seated and get down the vehicle.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox You feel the SUV on driver seat. The gear shift is smooth, driving is smooth. No need to certify marutis fuel economy. More about these aspects only after I drive for long.

Ride Quality & Handling Good handling and ride quality with all the above features.

Final Words S-cross is truely a cross. A vehicle which looks like a hatchback, rides like a SUV and comfortable like a sedan. Strongly recommended for Indian roads.

Areas of improvement The length is 4.3 metre compared to the compact SUV's with length 4 m. Although the leg space is better than compact SUV's, 100 mm more space would have made the S-cross better. A front camera attachment and ergonomic back seat need to be added.

Took delivery on 11 October, 2016 and so far used only within Mumbai

      Initial ownership experience:

      ·         Took time to get used to keyless entry and push button start

      ·         Its easy to drive and park as steering is very light and responsive

      ·         Looks and feels premium

      ·         The drive is smooth and on highway you don’t feel that you are cruising at 100 kmph

      ·         Gearshift is very swift

      ·         With ABS and rear disc brakes, braking at short notice isn’t problem as once had to brake hard to avoid alto ahead of us stopping suddenly on the way home from mall.

      ·        Rearview camera works perfect

      ·         Gear 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 speed range is short.

      ·         Armrest looks seriously helpful for long drives

      ·         1.3 engine noise insulation is better than 1.6 engine but 1.6 has superb punch

      ·         Being Maruti, headlamps are excellent

      ·         Hasn’t tested fuel economy as I’m getting used to the gear ratios and car’s ergonomics

Well-packed feature rich carShould have rear AC vents
