I recently took a 20 km test drive of the Tata Punch EV (Empowered Sunroof variant) in Bhopal, and overall, it left a very positive impression. This was my first time driving an EV, so I had a lot of questions, but the salesperson explained everything patiently and in a very simple way. They clearly explained the range of all variants and also helped me understand how to deal with range anxiety in daily city usage. As explained during the visit, in practical city conditions, the 24 kWh battery can comfortably deliver around 200 km, while the 35 kWh version can give close to 280 km, which feels more than sufficient for regular urban driving. The drive itself felt smooth, silent, and very easy to handle in city traffic. The Punch EV feels compact from the outside but comfortable enough for daily use. The sunroof and features in the Empowered variant add a nice premium touch. Acceleration was instant and perfect for city roads. They also explained the available EV discounts and how the home charger installation process works, which made owning an EV feel much more practical and stress-free. Since I’m specifically looking for a city car, the Punch EV seems like a very good option—easy to drive, economical, and future-ready. Overall, a satisfying first EV experience and thinking to go for purchase.

Excellent ride comfort and steering control, the 360 camera quality is very good. Zero maintenance in 5000km. The IRA app connectivity works smoothly. No exertion in long drives and heavy city traffic.

The service is absolutely pathetic. Mileage is far from what was promised. Don’t fall for the sales team’s sweet talk – all fake promises and lies. My car is just 1.5 years old, has run only 14,000 km, and for the past month, it has been stuck in the service centre due to charging issues and an auxiliary battery failure. Till today, there has been no proper response, no updates, and zero accountability. Instead of resolving the problem, the staff make fun of customers. U have to think a thousand times before planning any trip because the battery can drop suddenly. Using public charging is a huge hassle too: every charging point insist on different apps/accounts to recharge, which is a major inconvenience. We feel trapped and exhausted by this entire situation. This is the worst customer care and service experience I’ve ever had. My sincere request: Don’t buy an EV car, especially not from TATA. You’ll only regret it.
