The 1.2 is such a refined and smooth engine, but it struggles under heavy acceleration and city traffic. Hyundai showroom official claimed it to be up to 18 kmpl, but the real-world mileage is not very satisfying. Not more than 15, even on highway cruising. In city driving, it barely delivers 12 kmpl. After all, it's a small naturally aspirated engine designed for city driving 12 kmpl in bumper-to-bumper city driving; its mileage is not very impressive for elderly people and women. 1.2 is a nice engine for daily commuting, after all. I have been using the Hyundai Venue HX6 DCT for the past 2 months, and overall, the driving experience has been excellent. The DCT transmission is very smooth and responsive, making both city driving and highway journeys comfortable. The interior is comfortable and premium*, with good seating comfort for long drives.
