Hyundai Venue garners over 2000 bookings in a day

Hyundai Motor India commenced taking bookings for the Venue on 2 May, and within a day, the compact SUV has bagged over 2,000 bookings across the country. Potential customers can book the car online or at the authorised dealerships in India for an amount of Rs 21,000.

Hyundai Venue will be available in 13 variants that are spread across four trim levels – E, S, SX and SX(O). The SUV will get three powertrain options – 1.2L and 1.0L petrol engines and a 1.4L diesel motor. However, there’s no diesel automatic on offer. And only the 1.0L turbocharged petrol gets the 7-speed DCT, that too in the S and SX+ trims.

The 82bhp/115Nm 1.2L petrol motor is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0L T-GDi turbocharged petrol mill generates 118bhp and 172Nm and is offered with a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT. On the other hand, the 1.4L oil burner puts out 89bhp and 220Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The compact SUV will be available in ten colour schemes, including three dual-tone paint options that are offered on the top-spec SX(O) trim. The Venue will be India’s first smart connected SUV and will provide 33 connectivity features, including ten India-specific features via the Hyundai Blue Link system.
