      Look and Style

      It has a good looks.Initially thought it is like alto 800.

      But while I am parking beside ford and swift in office, my car looks taller and nicer.

      Comfort

      The AMT is the best feature to reckon in celerio.Parking is very easy with its small light weight steering.Since clatch pedal is not there,any rookie level driver  can handle this car with just 10 days basic driving training.I found the driving is very very comfortable since left leg and left hand are always free.AC works very fast.

      Pickup

      Pick up is little low so far.have to wait for final verdict.

      Mileage

      I have driven 305 km so far and it is given a mileage of 14-15 kmpl.This will improve after the 3rd service as suggested by maruti dealer.

      Best Features

      AMT and brand value.Boot space is very high compare to its rear shape (235 ltr).Big cabin space.

      Needs to improve

      Airbags and ABS can be provided in optional variants.Fogs light and music system shall be given in all variants.

      Overall Experience

      A nice optimised car.Definately will improve your social status.A proud owner of celerio.😎

      Exterior Good front looks, it will give sportive look if we add external sportive fog lamps. Because of maruti warranty issue I cant add external one. Fornt and side view is impressive, rear is a bit not pleasing, after adding rear spoiler its better.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Though it looks like small car from outside it surprised me with interior space. I was confortable w.r.t seating in celerio than Honda city. two tone interior given rich and airy look.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Here comes intresting part. with respect to milage, I travelled to Lepakshi from Bangalore (250km two way) and I got milage of 27km/L !!!! trust me, I got surpriced whether I am griving petrol card or Hybrid car (I am refering to Hybrid as petrol+electrical cars in US, which used to give such a milage figures). I was driving in between 70 to 90km/h speed withought my trip. In previous month I travelled to Hyderabad and I maintained speeds around 100-110km/h I got milage of 23km/h. I am really happy with milage. In Bangalore city getting milage of 16 to 17km/L

      w.r.t to speed its very stable vehicle in its class (I had Waganr, it used to wobble after 100km/h). even above 120km/h speed in highway it goves good confident. change it to manual mode it cruzes like rocket. I testdrove swift also at the time of test driving Celerio, and I found Celerio has good pickup. This is my observation.

      Ride Quality & Handling Very good at high speeds and shocks are class above.

      Final Words Worth for the cost we spent. Very promising car, lets see how AT works in longrun..

      Areas of improvement No ZXi in AT. Atleast ABS option they might have given.

      Good milage, better front looks, good shocks, good pickupOver taking in auto mode should be get used to it, otherwise you feel less confident.

      Exterior Look is good. But I personally preferred the blazing red version. Front grill is new and stylish. But door handles should've been body color. And i bought a vxi version which costs me 30 k more than the lxi version but u do not get much for that difference.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Inside is spacious and comfortable for a hatchback.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am truly disappointed with its fuel economy and gearbox. Maruti claims that it gives same mileage in manual and automatic version. But the truth is automatic gives you something round 13 and manual 14. And its shocking to see that even when the car reaches 100 kmph its still on 4th gear in the AMT mode!

      Ride Quality & Handling is good. No complain in this area.

      Final Words I feel like cheated. Not only its nowhere near its certified mileage 23.1 kmph but it also gives two different number in manual and amt version.

      Areas of improvement Fuel economy, automatic gear functioning.

      Inside space, front and side looksvery poor mileage, slow gear shifting in automatic version

      Exterior It will be more better.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is enough for middile class family, due to automatic comfort level is very high like delhi traffic.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Milleage is very good if you check other automatic it show 19 in AC and 25 without AC which is very very Good, Engine Perforamnce is very good  i have no idae Gearbox as i have automatic version which work background as gearbox.

      Ride Quality & Handling Very Very Good.

      Final Words I love this CAR.

      Areas of improvement Only exterior desgin should be more good and have ABS in VXI model then it is beeter and if air bags are there then it is far beeter in this segment of CAR and and this car is 100% value for money I recomnded all to prefer Automatic version it is very comfort to drive specially delhi traffic.

      Exterior : 

       Good and very decent look. But ORVMS should have indicators. 

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : 

      Good, comfortable. however seats should have adjustable Head Rest and there should be Rear AC vent.

      The best thing is the leg space and boot space provide inside. Indeed its very comfortable.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox : 

       Engine Performance wise its very good. Smooth driving

      As its a new puchase am checking out with the Fuel Economy

      Ride Quality & Handling : 

       Smooth driving and easy handling. 

      No vibrations or jerks are felf inside the cabin while driving

      Final Words

       Overall a very good car and one can have a AT car in budget.

      Areas of improvement  

       Need to launch AMT in ZXi version

      or provide Music System and Central Locking in Vxi verison

      Also the outer looks need to be improved like some more aerodynamic look.

      Also the car can be stretched in length and width between 100 - 300 cm so as more comfortable space can be acheived.

      Exterior What we picked is the dark grey one (Glistening Grey). Look wise, I have no complains. The plastic cladding below the bonet is good on good roads. Places like bangalore were roads get dug up quite often, it becomes a hurdle and hits the bottom.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      1. The feature of 60/40 split rear seat 

      2. Parcel tray is nice, would have been better with a srtring attached. Fitment tolerances & plastic need improvement. The ram effect (each time when we close the hatch, after an years use) of hatch almost broke the link which holds the parcel tray.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Performance & Gearbox: The gearbox loading on clutch looks higher. During the third fre service, I had mentioned to the service agency to check the clutch. The jerk when the clutch springs stifness is low and the torqe being high is felt (when we initiate from stand still). Significantly higher when more than three people present (may be the loading, this is sen when we are on an upslope too)

      Fuel Economy:  Have run about 15800km (~3000km long drives & rest in city with AC ON). Averaging 13.9kmpl. 

      Ride Quality & Handling

      1. Clutch issue irks. Otherwise the AMT aids well.  

      2. On high ways while overtaking, it is recommended to switch to manual for predictable power delivery (If in manual, avoids gear shifting higher when we need torque to over take ). 

      Final Words Good City Car. 

      Areas of improvement Clutch issue needs serious attention from OEM. If not attended can seriously hit the brand.

      Exterior Front look is Very good and Maruthi should change the Back Look

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious & Very Comfort. 5 members can sit very Easily and Leg room is Very good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is Very Smooth and very rare cases you feel Vibration in Engine. I am done with the 1st serviceing, Im city iam getting 15-17 based on the Traffic Conditions and iam very happy with the mileage in Highway, its giving 20-21. i drove 2600 km, in instrumental cluster it is showing avg mileage has given is 16.7 till today(Mixing of City & Highway). Gearbax is very smooth in AMT.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is Very Smooth, I am literally enjoying my ride. AMT is really really Very Easy to drive. everybody can enjoy the Ride in Traffic. Coeming to handling, what i feel is upto 100 speed i can handle but over the 100 it is bit unpredictable. 

      Final Words Overall Celerio AMT is the Great release from Maruthi, they have designed this car for the Middle class people who concerned about Mileage and Maintanance. 

      Areas of improvement Back shape of the Car is not good and it looks like Alto, maruthi should redisgn it.

      Exterior The car does have a unique character of its own. But designing could have been improved, which would have made the character of this car come out more. Front of the car looks better than the rear. The tail lights can be improved some what I feel.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space and comfort is decent. I like to have my coffee while driving, and there are enough cupholders provided for this purpose. Storage space also is decent. Would have like some additonal features in the VXI Auto model, like E OVRM, rear wiper and defogger. That would have probably taken the cost of the car to 5.5 to 5.7 lac on road. But i still feel, these should be given as optional features.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performace is decent. This is my first auto car, so i was skeptical, but was pleasently surprised by the performance. The auto geaar shift is excellent. One who has never driven an auto car, will take some time to get used to the auto transmission. But once you get comfortable, you will really start enjoying this. I drive every day form Delhi to Noida covering around 70 kms every day in hte Delhi traffic hours, and trust me the auto shift has really made my life so much easy.

      Also, the car has a fairly good fuel economy. It gave me an average of around 16.5 in einters, with teh AC off and with AC, the avg is around 15.5.

      There are indicators which tell, how much more distance can the car travel with the fuel that is there in the tank.

      Ride Quality & Handling The car has a decent suspension and can handle the bumps and the pot holes pretty well. In terms of handing, I can easily maneouvre the car in traffic and in congested areas.

      Final Words Overall a good car for anyone looking for an entry level auto transmission.

      Its a very good car for people who like to sit a bit high and dont like the cars which have a sunken feeling. Good for people in 50's. While im still 31 and the car is for me as well :)

      Areas of improvement At low speeds, when the car is in 1st gear, sometime i have experienced some jerks. Had taken the car to the workshop, but the problem did not occur in front of them, so they could not do anything about it.

      Should give Optional EOVRMS, rear viper and defogger.

      Auto Gear shift works well. good fuel economy.Exterior styling can be improved slightly. Should give some more optional features in the VXI Auto

      Exterior

       Exterior is well designed, stylish.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Interior space is excellent. Even with front seats fully back, there is enough space in the rear seats. Excellent suspension. Also the boot space is huge. Rear seats fold forward for extra boot space.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Gears dont shift at the right time, especially from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear, resulting in over-revving and excess fuel consumption. I prefer switching to manual mode to save fuel.

      My average reading is 13.5Km/l. I have driven only in city with ac on 1-2.

      I expected it to be atleast 15km/l, since company claims 23km/l.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       Riding this car in the city is very easy, no worries of shifting gears while in traffic.

      Always had a smooth ride. Handles very well on sharp turns, even at speeds of around 40-50km/h.

      Final Words

       Overall, it's a perfect car to ride in city traffic.

      Major Areas for Conceptual Design improvement

      A new Maruti Celerio - VXi AT owner, I could identify two major technical area for improvement in conceptual design:

      Ride Quality & Handling

      1. The position of (D)rive mode and (R)everse mode in all AMT cars from Maruti Suzuki is conceputally incorrect as per common convention. The forward (D)rive mode [and even the mannual (+)ve Gear shift] should ideally be set in forward direction; whereas the (R)everse mode [and even the mannual (-)ve Gear shift] should ideally be set in backward direction as available in almost all the mannual transmission vehicles. This makes more logical sense to help user 

       At present, the driver is bound to make a CONSIOUS decision to pull the lever backward in order to move forward and push the lever forward to set the vehicle in reverse mode. This becomes even hazardous for an old-age senior citizen on the driving seat who finds it hard to move away from the lifetime convention for forward and reverse gear shifts.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      2. The power windows cease to operate as we switch the ignition off, while other battery operated equipments like 12V socket or stereo still continue to operate at this first steering unlock mode. In order to opperate the power windows, one needs to switch on to the Ignition ON mode. To me, this really feels like a non-sense after I stop my car and prepare to get off.

      No Airbag, USB charging port and Bluetooth Audio which seem to be essentials in mid-range model.

      Exterior

      Exterior is quite okay but I feel it should have come with fog lamps at this cost.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      Having driven less than 1000 kms so far, it might be too early to comment on the performance but I did not get any better millage than 12.2 kms /litre within city and 16.7 kms/litre based on the information displayed on instrument panel.

      Another Celerio ZXi (Mannual) Car User contested to my above finding stating that it is apparently no more than 10 Kms in reality. 

      Final Words

      Watchout for some unethical Maruti dealers. I had a pretty bad experience with my purchase in Delhi NCR - while booking, on cheque payment acceptance and most important a poor delivery of car with dents, low initial fuel than recomended and screws coming off within hours after delivery.

      Personally, I did not find Celerio VXi AMT as appropriate RoI. I would suggest considering Renault Kwid with much better sepcification which could be more value add for less investment.
