      Overpriced car. Don't spoil your hard-earned money. A car of 13 Lakhs without a rear wiper. The rear legroom is insufficient. It feels bouncing at humpy roads. In petrol automatic, only one variant available. You are forced to buy it. There are many sub-budget cars available.kia doesn't value your money. But you have to.

      I brought 7 dct sonet, its not worthy for your money. I drove as of now 600 km's, below are main 2 points I noticed. 1) Reverse gear has too much lag, out of 10 times only once. Your car will move backwards immediately remain 8 times it was like did I really change the gear to R mode? or any stone behind tyre? do I need to touch accelerator for immediate response? Trust me after changing the gear to R mode and taking off your leg from break pedal you can pick your water bottle, open the cap, drink a sip of water then you notice car started moving reverse/backwards, that much lag- Even I kept my both legs folded on to the seat and shown my friend to see the magic my both legs are folded see after 1 to 2 min your car starts backwards. 2) Don't test drive car in small streets and buy it. If possible request then definitely need to test drive on high way with min of 80 speed, because I felt lag while overtaking. Sport mode choose is not possible at that critical/emergency overtaking time, your decision on of overtaking judgment matters on 80 speed, you just cant look down use left hand to press mode button, then choose cluster screen select Sport then use accelerator this is full of diversion and impossible to do end up in accident. did any 7 dct owners noticed reverse gear lag/not working immediately? please let me know. thank you.

      I have spiraled down into frustration, negativity and repentance for buying Kia Sonnet Car in Nov 2002. Since Feb 2021, I am continuously facing issues with this car. We escaped from an accident as the steering got jammed all of sudden in the middle of the road. And worst part driving 20 Kms the fuel meter reading drops by 72 Kms. I would not recommend this to anyone. It's just a hype.

      Not Really Expected this from KIA...Overhype made on this car..if you wanna spend 15 lakh for petrol it is complete bullshit...xuv 300 diesel w8 (O) is priced at 14.7 lakh onroad..then who should buy a sonet which doesn't have a proper NCAP Safety and many must have features missing in Lower versions, All three are worst engines... 1.2L petrol -- Literally Underpowered 1.0 Petrol -- overpriced and shitty iMT used 1.5L diesel-- Underpowered again Why should one buy a sonet from a new brand also not an Indian brand...we get XUV , NEXON as great alternatives.. BREZZA is also a good option with 4 Stars NCAP rating but feels a little bit outdated on interiors definitely Toyota Urban Cruiser will Screw up Sonet with changes in Front Grille which looks better than BREZZA also gets revised interiors with brown upholstery also gets Toyota warranty....

      Buying Experience: We had to wait for 2.5 months for our variant - HTK Plus DCT Black Pearl. The front end sales staff gave us wrong info regarding delivery multiple times and then stopped picking up our calls. We escalated it to the senior staff and only then did we get a proper response. 2. Driving Experience: DCT variant is just so smooth that you don't even notice the gear shifts. It's a good experience driving in traffic as well as on highways. I have two complaints though 2.1 The handling could have been more sporty. You won't get confidence manoeuvring at high speeds (100+) even though you won't feel you're driving at 100+ if you're doing that in a straight line. There is a lil body roll. 2.2 The apple car play and android auto is very buggy. It keeps getting disconnected and that is very annoying and is a huge distraction while driving. Imagine driving in Delhi traffic and navigating using Google Maps via apple car play and then suddenly it gets disconnected. You need to press multiple keys on the infotainment screen to get it back and this keeps happening over and over. 3. Looks & Performance: It feels very sophisticated from outside as well as from inside. The cabin feel is amazing. It'll give mileage from 10-20 depending on which mode you drive, how you drive and the traffic conditions. The max I got from one of the trips was 21Kmpl but you rarely get this much mileage. 15 is more realistic. The throttle feels amazing and powerful when you're driving in the sports mode. 4. Servicing and Maintenance: I've driven 1.5k KMs so far and the first service is free, so can't say much about this.

      Not a value for money, rear space is less, connected features are of no practical use in day today's life & just can't pay for it. . Styling is good but better cars with good build quality are available in the market.

      The 7 speed DCT on the Kia Sonet HTK Plus model is a huge disappointment. There is a very significant lag in acceleration, and makes it very tough to overtake, Especially on highways when you have no option but to get around trucks. The time between hitting the acceleration pedal and the car actually accelerating is often enough to miss the overtaking window. Even in reverse, it takes 7-8 seconds for the car to start moving by itself. It feels as if I am going uphill and have to hit the race pedal. The 7DCT performance is quite bad, and no service person even accepts that this is a problem, simply calling this a DCT feature. They usually don't have the technical capability to either understand, or since they can't do anything about they just ignore. All in all, a disappointing buy. I have to buy another car but have very low confidence on DCT now. But don't know if that is true for DCT in general, or Kia messed it up here. Hope they solve this!
