The BMW M5 facelift, also known as the M5 LCI, was unveiled in June this year. The model was recently spotted in India, hinting that the launch might take place soon. The images were reportedly taken at the ARAI facility in Pune.
Compared to the outgoing model, the updated BMW M5 will be powered by the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that continues to produce 592bhp and 750Nm of torque. Paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the model can sprint from a standstill to 100kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
Changes to the exterior of the new BMW M5 facelift include revised front and rear bumpers, reworked LED headlamps with twin L-shaped LED DRLs, smoked LED tail lights, a carbon-fibre roof, and new alloy wheels. Inside, the model is likely to be equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a seventh-gen iDrive system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an M-mode button. Also on offer will be drive modes that include Comfort, Sport, Sport +, and Track.
