    DRIVING:
    Few thousand kilometers
The car is good for first 2 years, later it gives problems one after the other. Not sure if this is the issue with the Volkswagen Service. I have faced multiple problem in next three years. The worst part of Volkswagen or any imported cars are the Service,In the middle of highway the cars stops, when you call the helpline number or the service number the only answer we receive from them is do not drive, we need to tow the vehicle check with your insurance provider. It may a minor problem like IC issue, you need to tow the vehicle. There are only few service locations and no local other service providers like Maruthi etc cannot check this. This happened multiple time, when I was in long drive on long weekend and with family. You have to forget your long weekend and roam around behind towing the vehicle. I would suggest Maruthi is far more better than any car, the reason behind is that car can be repaired in almost every part of India. Service people say there are lot of Sensors with the car for providing the good comfort which is missing in Maruthi. I would still suggest Maruthi because it's a proven vehicle in India and lot of service centers all over the places. If there is a minor issue in Maruthi, you can contact any nearby local service station he will resolve the issue, at least your long weekend with the family may spoil for few hours, but here you need to Tow the vehicle. Apart from Bangalore some places of Volkswagen service will not operate on Sunday. If the issue happens on Sunday and no Insurance with Towing facility, then you have to look at stars. Servicing and maintenance is worst. I would say at the minimum you should be ready to spend 25K per year as your Service and maintenance cost. Not worth for India.
