Exterior It looks great and more better than bland Innova and awkward Xylo.Rear is copy of Vista but is full red unlike smaller VW Vento.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Red/Plum and Black is good looking and modern but Fit and Finish is not best,But gets 2 Airbags,ABS,Rear Wiper,Rear Demister and Audio Controls,No Sun Roof or Moon Roof and Traction Control,6 Airbags,Climate Control(Even is Prestige 4X4 variant)ESP and Auto Head Lights and Wipers and Sat-Nav and GPS System only on top model Pride 4x4 (Leather).Front and middle row are good but 3rd row is good for kids.Front and rear seats are comfortable but 3rd row is cramped.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The tourquey VTT Safari Engine has 138 Bhp and a whooping 32.6 kgm torque and is peppier and quieter than the noisy Innova Diesel.Gearbox is good but FE cannot be mentioned.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is excellent and better than Scorpio/Xylo.Handling is not bad.

Final Words Aria is the best SUV and buy Aria instead of lazy Innova Diesel. At 12.91 lakh for the Pleasure 4x4 base variant,it is great value too.Rear AC vents are cool and relaxing in the Aria.Price is bad to Innova and VFM to Ford Endeavour and CR-V and the Toyota SUV,Fortuner.Looks good and dash is modern looking. The powerful 138 BHP engine has 32.6 torque and is quiet and has less turbo-ag of Indica and all Tata Diesel cars.Aria is good and great value but also is one of the most feature rich SUVs.

Areas of improvement Price-Tata is made good job but not Value For Money.

Looks,Audio Control in base variant also plus Rear WiperPrice for TATA Car?????

Exterior Fine shape and good looks. Nice curve with no unwanted cuts.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great and well thought of. It is a real luxuary.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful, Smooth and a great Pleasure.

Ride Quality & Handling This is the highlight. My wife and children say that they get a feel of travelling in an AC train. What a smooth ride through all these unbelievably deep pot holes! I would request the TATAs to offer test ride through pot holes and people who have money, will buy this car over any other.

Final Words After 7000km, now, I find that I could get a mileage of about 13km/l ona fully ladden drive from Kochi to kannur (320km). The speed wa maintained at about 80km, when possible. Mostly it was 50-60 due to traffic. Plenty of city drives along the journey. I wish I was on NH 5 or on one such free flowing road. The mileage could have been even better. But this, what I got, is great for a car of this size. Is theer a competition?

The AC is superb. The whole feel was much greater than Altis, the other car that I considered and drove for a few days.

The chilled glove gives us cold drinks while on the move!

Thank you TATA for giving this world class car at Indian price.

Areas of improvement Adevrtisement, driver's glove box, Infotainment display.

Glide effect of road confort, fuel economy, the power, safety and spaceThe infotaintment display could have been better. a glove box for the driver is essential.

Exterior Though it looks  like blown up copy of the INDICA, that will be  an insult. it looks good, but the finishing on the joints  and hinges is not what what i expect in a 19 lacs car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious. both the front seats have armrests, but the storage cubby hole below that is missing. But it is more than made up by a central panel on the ceiling . Problem is i dont know  what to use it for  and the plastic and the finish quality  is very cheap. The seats  have a very synthetic leather finish. The last  row seats fiod into the floor and thats a neat arrangement and it gives  a humongous  trunk space. The 6 airbags is a first  on any Indian car in this price range.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The gear shifts  were smooth and  apart from the noise  when idling, the sound is dampened  quite well. The Music  comes thru well and  and the  engine  noise  does not interfere  with the music. The  acceleration is good and the steering is responsive.

Ride Quality & Handling Drove the car in traffic and  and it rode the bangalore pot holes well. .  Its  not fun but  is certainly easy to drive, despite the size.

Final Words The positioning of the car is not in the Innova class, but it is difficult  not to compare, beacause of its looks . Starting from the 4 wheel drive and the  features,  the price differential is worth the money. This has to be compared  with the  softroaders like the Chevrolet captiva ,  Outlander and the Santa fe.  Compared to these vehicles, this a  definite value for money, especially if  you want a 7 seater.  What will really  put you off is the quality of the interiors.

Having test driven all soft roaders now, I am going in  for the CAPTIVA AWD . Its more fun to drive  and more  refined both under the hood and the interiors.

Areas of improvement Attention to detailing, on the INTERIORS.

seating, easy to drive, fully loadedbuild quality, tacky interiors

Exterior Excellent work done here by TATA. By Blending a MPV Look with a aggressive SUV Styling TATA has upped the ante and 'dare i say' created a new segment in the Indian Auto market.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is say after running the aria for a full day. They have loaded the car to its gills, Major Shortcomings though. The quality of plastic used is HORRIBLE and does not befit a MPV/SUV of this calibre. However, they have made sure that every possible feature has been incorporated so that the buyer doesn't feel short changed. THEY SOULD HAVE ADDED A COLOUR CONSOLE SCREEN for someone paying 15lacs+. The third row of seats is definitely not usable and does not even qualify for anybody older that 6-7 years.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT. Lets see any other manufacturer beat this dynamite combination.

Ride Quality & Handling Smooth [Remember we're judging a SUV, not a sports car] and responsive. Comparatively no body roll here.

Final Words Apart from the let down on the interior components, i think TATA has a winner on their hands.

Areas of improvement Again the same rant, Improvements on the 'QUALITY' of interior components.

Exterior Looks, Practicaltiy, Effort put inInterior Trim Quality not on par with others

      Exterior

The aria is a very good looking car.. it certainly has road presence due to its huge side..

The front of the car looks very attractive with swept back headlights, the hugh wheel arches

From the side it looks huge.. Rear is a bit plain but still looks decent

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Once you step inside the aria you notice the effects of land rover... the whole cockpit is land rover inspired and looks really good.. The steering wheel and good and its weight is very well suited for such a big monster..😉

tata have made use of the space very well.. there are 7 glass holders, storage spaces at almost everyplace and many more..

The leg room, knee room, head room and high support are the best in class i guess.. This makes it the most comfortable car under 20 or even 25 lakh bracket.. The only negative point is the space in 3rd row

Features list is extraordinary.. u have everything which you could dream for..

One more thing is that the boot space whith all the seats up is the best in its class

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

The 2.2l dicor engine from the safari works very well in aria.. it has got power, the grunt and everything which an SUV must have..

Fuel economy is not that great but when compared to its size, the fuel economy looks good.. i m getting 9.5 in city(delhi) conditions and 11 on highways.. so i guess thats quite good..
The gearbox is the one which i didnt like.. its heavy, not sleek and gear shift requires some effort.. But i must say that the gearbox is well suited to the engine.. so thats a good point

      Ride Quality & Handling

Ride quality is the best and trust me you wont find a car which gives better ride quality under 25lakh bracket.. This is the main USP of aria..

Handling is also very good when compared to the size of the car.. The only problem with the steering wheel is that while making tight turns you tend to press the volume buttoms on the steering wheel..

      Final Words

An excellent product from tata.. better than xuv500.. Go for it if you want a car for highway drives.. city driving is not the best because of its size

      Areas of improvement

Gear box should be little more lighter, steering controls should be repositioned, last row should have some more leg  space

Looks, space inside, features, music system, ride quality, engineheavy clutch, spongy brakes, leg space in the 3rd row

Exterior Very good ergonomic design, gives a great clearance on indian roads. Even the basic model is equipped with most features.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great seating comfort in forst two rows. Total command on the road for the driver. Last row also better than other competitors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerful and excellent engine, Amazing pick up. No apparent turbo lag felt. Good control of the vehicle.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality very good and comfortable. Handling perfect for high speed/ highway driving. Even in city traffic it feels more like comfortable car.

Final Words Very good/ refined  product from Tata's and would do very well in the European market.

Areas of improvement Some tweaking on looks. Automatic version.

Great control and comfortSpace for storage in the back

Exterior Side and back are improved. Cheap look at front side. I mean it is a Indica look.Who will buy an India worth 10+ lakhs?

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Improved and good. The quality of material should be improved, Safety norms are too good. Verry very comfortable for 5 to 6 people sit inside

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Average fuel economy otherwise it is good.

Ride Quality & Handling Too good.

Final Words I see as a Indica with high performance and cost.

      Areas of improvement

      1. Exterior and Styling

      2. Fuel efficency ( Have two breeds, one with fuel effency and another one is without)

      3.Outsource styling and exterior

      4. Think of optional top luggage carrier for long drive.

Overall it is good at performance sideIndica look totally spoils it's uniqueness.

Exterior The vehicle looks like a beast or a monster. looks are just fabulous and it makes a statement on highways. amazing exterior tata have given. Roof rails are missing and they should also keep option of foot rest for this vehicle.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Aria pride 4x4 has all those features which you don't see even in 20 lacs + SUVs. TATA Aria Pride is the best and optimum solution who are fond of SUV/MUV. Space is just amazing. even in last row two normal built adults can be easily accomodated. best part is even after last row they haev given enough space to accomodate at least 4 bags. Confort wise vehicle is very nice. Best suspension I have experience till date. there is issue of steering vobbling on bad roads but that is the issue with almost all the tata vehicles. they should improve on that. overall it is the most comfortable vehicle in its price range.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very responsive with grt pick up and with no body roll. Fuel economy is bit bad but fine for an SUV. 9 km/ltr in city and 13 km/ltr on highway is fine but there is chance of improvement there. Gear box is also very nice and gear shift is pretty smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling As TATA have given grt suspension which adds to grt ride quality. Handling is good enough though I find it heavy when riding in city but thats acceptatble.

Final Words Over all I would say the vehicle is perfect blend of car like confort with power of a monster.

Areas of improvement First thing is TATA SERVICE which is pathetic. the dealers are so arrogant and they are really not bothered of customers.  second thing is steering vobbling which is quite big issue. Average can be improved a little bit. I would say 12 in city and 15 on highways would best.

Suspension, Built, gear shift, sitting posture, pick up, noise less engine, storage, leg room,Steering vobbling, average, and most important after sales service is just worst.

      EExterior

The exteriors does have a different look but mostly a lay man relates to it as an over grown Innova type of car. Though I disagree as the car has a SUV type of stance but if the nose dive front could be rectified then it will be one of the best looking SUV and not a cross over. I think TATA should take a some design ideas by studying the Q7 front as it will be best suited design for the rest of the Aria's design.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

I just love the simple straightish no nonsense dash board, I think it is totally range rover (old model) inspired and much better then the competitors.

Though the Pure LX model does not have a audio system and nor does it have a ABS or EBD but no complains as it has landed me on road octroiless for 9.80lacs, yes you read it right. Same price as an Maruti Ertiga Vdi.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine is smooth and has enough grunt. 2.2litre dicor is refined and fuel efficient for the size of the car.

      Ride Quality & Handling

Ride is smooth and completely planted on road, the best part is the suspensions. bad roads or no roads are hardly felt inside.

      Final Words

Best value for money in the price range. Since this was a 2012 stock model I was offerred with 1.5lac discount plus I saved 20000 on Insurance and registration  as I did that on my own and not through the dealer. I always think that the car I have is comparable to a Ertiga VDI model in price and if I compare with any 7seater car below 10 lacs I think ARIA beats them all very comfortably. This has landed me approximate 3.80lacs cheaper then an XUV well does any one think there can be a better deal then this?

The car at this price is the best value for money package anyone can think of. Also since there are not much ARIA 's on the road my car catches enough attention.

Also most important factor is 3 years warranty and 1lAC kilometre. At additional Rs.7500 a year of warranty for 50000 is also available. Well that means zero ownership headaches

Extra money spent of touch screen music system (pioneer+ JBL components) , seat covers , spoiler, black vinyls on door pillars and reverse camera in total 38000. Thus Aria with all extra fittings has costed me 10.18lacs on road.

      Areas of improvement

Design can be improved from rear and the minor cosmetic change to the bonet( similar to Q7) can make a lot of change to the over all design.

After Sales Service is still far from satisfactory.

      Exterior GREAT ANGRY LOOK.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) COZYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The fule economy comes as important catch to we indians and i have managed to get a 14.5kmpl on a trip from bhopal to indore on multiple occassions. Having driven 20000 km now I am feeling proud that i made a nice decision 1 year back. My recent trip Leh Ladhak from bhopal was amzing 5500 km drive - FLAWLESS.

Ride Quality & Handling The confort on long drive is excellent as the driving seat has a nice calves support and adjustable lumber support. You fly past 90 kmpl and sense the smooth handling with an equally rugged ground adherance. On  45 degree turn at speed of 80 kmpl is not expalinable in words- you need to be on driver seat to feel this.

Final Words Well done tata - i hope you keep a good commitment on providing preventive maintenance of this beautiful work of automobile engineering.

Areas of improvement None - but to name one I would have loved to have better mileage on city roads.

Comfort of driving long, vibration less engine and gear box performanceI would say mileage but will not mind when i purchase a SUV
