Using Creta: 5+ years, and driven 50k kms more. Pros: Best value, Good average mileage 18-20kmpl, Low maintenance cost Cons: Not the leader in Performance or comfort or premium but overall it is good package to Indians.

Bought the car in 2022. The design is polarizing but seeing it everytime made me loving it. Car is practical for 4-5 member family. Comfort is very good with soft suspension and well balanced tuning of it for indian roads( yep not for spirited driving). The diesel engine is super smooth and punchy with a average ranging from 16kmpl in cities and 23+ in highways. The engine pulls once you cross the 2000rpm and you can feel the pull. Service cost also very reasonable (arround 11k for 4th annual service). Overall if you drive daily and meed a fuel efficient comfortable and good diesel engine you can take creta 1.5 diesel as an option.

The Buying & PDI Experience: I recently took delivery of the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition in the S(O) CVT variant. While the dealership experience was smooth, I didn't want to leave anything to chance. Before signing the papers, I conducted a thorough Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) using a digital paint thickness gauge and an OBD-II scanner. Interestingly, while the car looked pristine, my paint gauge helped me confirm that all panels had factory-standard thickness, ruling out any transit repaints. Driving & Performance: The 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with the IVT (CVT) is incredibly smooth for city commutes. It isn't a "rocket" for highway overtakes, but the convenience in bumper-to-bumper traffic is unmatched. I am currently getting a mileage of around 11–12 kmpl in the city and up to 16 kmpl on the highway. Design & Comfort: The "Knight Edition" blacked-out aesthetics give it a massive road presence. Inside, the cabin is well-insulated, and the panoramic sunroof makes the space feel very premium. The S(O) variant hits the sweet spot for features, providing almost everything you need without the "top-end" price tag.
