Exterior: Excellent design and it easily beats its competitors Alto( K10 and 800) and Spark.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort):
The best in class interiors and very comfortable to ride on for a long drive. The Alto drastically falls behind in this with cheap plastic kind of look on it. Eon gives you a kind of a rich look with its interior design.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox:
The engine performance is pretty good having a 800 CC engine. Fuel economy is on the downside with a mileage of 12 with AC and around 15 without AC. The gearbox is not that good as the vibration of it feels very odd a lot of times.
Ride Quality & Handling:
I have driven the Alto (K10 and 800) as well as the spark but the ride quality on the Eon has been the best! Very smooth and gives a good vibe. The handling is excellent! The smallest of the space is enough for it do a full u turn. So its very appealing .
Final Words
If your are looking out for a car as your first buy and if you compromise on speed and just use it for city drive then without any doubtEon is the best bet.
Areas of improvement
There is a noticeable difference in power when the AC is turned on. Yes its a 800CC engine but if that lag can be resloved then this will be the best in class car.

Exterior Looks are grat when we compare with other car of this segment and even with the Wagon-Rs or i10s.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are beautifull and great though it feels less spacious but is good overall, ideal for small faily or when one drives it alone mostly. Boot space is very big in the segment. interiors gives you a feel lke a big car unlike the alto or santro where interiors are like some year old designs.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I did not feel any problem with gearbox as seen in some other reviews, it is smooth and gives a good feel, engine performance is also ok.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent and simply superb.
Final Words Every car is for a partcular user-typed and Eon Suits my needs perfectly.
Areas of improvement AC should be more powerfull, and the overspacious Boot space can be used to increase Rear legroom.

I bought this car one month back. I did all the pre delivery check. Just one thing i noticed then that one live plant was growing from inside of the back door. I thought that it can not hurm my car. I purchead the car. Every things are okay. But now i found that one rat is inside the car. And it is starting eating plastics of my car from inside. I used rat kill, lal hit spray to kill the rat. Few weeks gone. I thought rat is dead. But again i noticed rats toilet remains. Again he started eating my car. I am not able to locate where he is hiding. When i start the ac, full car fils with rat smell. What to do? Any advice how to kill the rat.
I like my car. It is stylish, comfortable. No gear or body vibration. I have not checked the milage yet. Only one problem may be in my car. When i drive the car above 60kmph and the road is bend (roads left side is higher then the right side) i hear a big grrrrrrr sound. Like two running parts are touching each other. When road is flat the sound goes. What to do? I have driven my car 250 kms till now. Any body experiencing this problem ?

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good Space for 4 members family woth great comfort. Even though leg room for rear passengers bit low, this doesnt been considered as negative.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Pickup with AC, Easily reaches 120KM speed without any vibrations or steering wobbling. Power steering really makes us to drive smoothly in cityPowerful AC during Hot summer.
Precise & Powerful Brakes and responding sharp upto 125KM speed.

17-19 without AC.
15-17 with AC.
Outer Mileage:
20-21.5 with AC.
21-23.5 without/parital AC.

Final Words Purchased EON ERA+ in Dec 2017 in Chennai for price of 3.65 LKHs which includes 65000 RS December bononza offer and other discounts from the On-Road price(4.28 lkhs).
I have been driving/using cars for 15 years and used mostly Maruti, Hyundai EON is best compared to Maruti small variants.
This car is real value for price and driving within city or outer use for small family. Increasing fuel prices are chocking our wallets in India and this car give great milegae with comfort.

I have been using this car from past 1.5 year and let me tell you the problems.
1. Engine is 800 CC but when you drive, you will fell that it doesn't perform even that well.
2. Gear box is very bad, in case I get any kind of speed breaker or a rough hole on road where I do not slow car I get my car newteral automatically. Trust me this makes you feel emarsed big time when you are with your colleagues.
3. Problem with wipers, same like gearbox, in case any rough hole on road which suddenly comes, wipers start moving and I stop those manually every time. Very embarering when other people are with you in car.
4. Pick up is not good at all.
5. Changing gear and increasing spped experience is so bad, you will get a weird jerk sometimes.
Fuel economy is overall fine.
Ride Quality & Handling Very poor.
Shocker system is the worst I have ever seen. Must take a test drive before buying. Make sure you drive on a little rough road to see the real worst side of car.
Final Words One thing, I didn't mention above. Hundai doesn't care about people having small cars, like EON. I told them all those problems during last service and their answer was "Sir these things can be found in all EONs, you can get a test drive of cars we have in showroom. Sir this is 800cc car, so company has already done the best".
Go for better competetors. I am planning to buy alto K10.

Exterior - The only good side. many youngsters could find it attractive. more appealing for girls.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)- Good looks, poor backseat headroom & legroom. features are not competitive to Alto K10. inside space is good for the front seats only.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - Jerky engine, pull back feeling, 11km/ltr city and 14 km/ltr highway mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling- very average. engine is noisy and give a pull-back feeling. steering smooth on lower speeds. accelerator not very comfortable for foot. have space for left foot to rest.
Final Words - feel cheated as a hyundai customer. fake mileage claims. must compensate present customers. nowhere competitive to Alto K10 THOUGH MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE

Areas of improvement EngineOn 11/07/2014 I bought this car, good interior exterior as well. Highway drive is good but in city pick up is down.I was amazed that how it can be so cheap. Interior is like verna, seating is also comfortable I have Hyundai Eon and my friend has Alto 800. He is having tough time with his car. Servicing in maruti is excellent no doubt. The quality of vehicle and engine eon is far better. Mileage wise alto is bit more better. Brake, stearing and gear i found eon much better.
