Watch a Volvo truck race against a Koenigsegg One:1 hypercar

It’s not every day when you get to see an eight-tonne truck race against one of the world's fastest cars – a Koenigsegg One:1. Rather worryingly, this is exactly the scenario in Volvo’s new YouTube film, ‘Volvo Trucks v Koenigsegg’.

The Swedish automaker’s truck division is known for making spectacular online video commercials, and for good reasons. This new film involving the brand’s FH truck race against and a Koenigsegg One:1 on a race track is no different.

In order to stand a fair chance, the Koenigsegg received a handicap which means that it went round the Knutstorp race track in southern Sweden twice, whereas the truck only had to do one lap. Despite this, the conclusion still is very much unpredictable.

While the sole aim here is to showcase Volvo’s new I-Shift dual clutch gearbox, the video makes for an interesting watch nonetheless.
