Maruti Grand Vitara Sigma is a practical, fuel-efficient midsize SUV with mild-hybrid petrol, good ride comfort, strong safety kit (6 airbags, ESP, hill-hold), and low running costs. It feels smooth in city driving and offers decent space, but the base Sigma lacks modern infotainment, has average engine punch and build quality that dents easily. Overall value choice if you want SUV presence with low cost, but consider higher trims for more features.

I recently bought the Grand Vitara Sigma and have driven it over 500 km. It’s been a solid performer so far, especially considering it’s the base variant. The car offers a refined driving experience with a smooth engine and a comfortable manual gearbox. Even after long drives, the engine feels responsive, and the power delivery is steady for both city and highway conditions. The standout feature for me is its fuel efficiency—around 19 km/l, which is impressive for an SUV in this segment. The suspension setup handles bumps and rough patches quite well, offering good ride comfort without compromising stability. Inside, the cabin feels well-built for a base model. You get all the essential features—manual AC, power windows, and decent seats with good support. While it doesn’t have the flashy tech of higher variants, the practicality and space make up for it. Overall, the Grand Vitara Sigma delivers a great mix of efficiency, comfort, and reliability, making it a smart choice for budget-conscious buyers.

The buying experience was the worst. I had to cancel my order as they were demanding 3-4 lacs advance after booking but they were not able to confirm the date of delivery. Driving experience was good, performance was also good. But the build quality is poor. Rear doors are very lightweight as the very thin sheet is used which you can feel by pressing your single finger on it. The same is true with the bonnet sheet. Most importantly, if you are buying a mild hybrid, then better you go with XL6. You will get the same hybrid engine with more space in every aspect with large dimensions and accessories.

I bought the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Sigma for my father last year. It’s an amazing product. The mileage is around 15-16 kmpl in the city and 18-19 kmpl on the highway. The performance is not great compared to the Hyundai Creta or similar segment cars. The Sigma Model 2024 model is value for money with start-stop and hand rest features available.

The car is value for money. If you want a peppy engine then go for some other car. It is reliable and the engine has a good low-end torque. The city average is 13-15. highways - 17-20.

Spacious and comfortable interior. Excellent driving dynamics and handling. All-wheel-drive capability for versatile performance. Sleek and stylish exterior design. Reliable servicing and maintenance support. Fuel efficiency could be improved. Infotainment systems may lack some advanced features found in competitors. Limited cargo space compared to larger SUVs.

Good Drive experience of Modern Hybrid Engine which gives you punch along with mileage. It is a value-for-money product and separates it from the competitors under the Branding of Maruti

Purchased on 20th June 2024, and it is an awesome experience. After 4 days, I visited Leh Ladakh in Grand Vitara and it was a very excellent experience to drive on those roads, and driving on the snow road was amazing.
