Best CarI’ve been driving my Mahindra XUV700 for a year now and have done around 5400 kms. Honestly, I’m really happy with the car overall. It feels super comfortable, packed with features, and the drive quality is solid whether it’s on city roads or highways. The interiors look premium and roomy, and all the tech inside makes the ride even better. Safety and handling are also impressive, which gives me confidence whenever I take it out for long drives. The suspension does a great job too, especially on bad roads. The only thing that really bothers me is the mileage. It’s quite poor, giving somewhere around 6–7 km/l, which is far below what I expected. If mileage isn’t a big deal for you, the XUV700 is an amazing SUV. Think before buying XUV700The car was launched in October 2021, and after 9 months, I got my XUV 700 AX7 Petrol Manual in Aug 2022. Till the first 2.5 years, there were not many issues with the car, but last 3 months, one by one lot of issues started coming in the car. Below is the list 1. First brake shoe tore light came, and I got the brake shoe changed, but just after the change, in a few days, again the same light came, and then I had to send my car 2 times so that that alert goes off 2. Touch screen hangs in between and just got blank while driving 3. Just after 50k drive in 2.5 years, the Shockers and suspension arms are gone and need to get replaced (luckily I was having a shield warranty, so I got them covered); otherwise, one has to pay a huge cost for replacing them 4. A lot of sounds started coming from the car door, and a few other sounds. Then they had to send the car 2 to 3 times, where the door sound got fixed, while still getting troubled with other sounds which their service team has not been able to fix to date 5. Recently few days earlier, while driving in the middle of the road clutch plate failed, and I was unable to put any gear, luckily. Got saved as the car was slow due to traffic, and no warning light came to alert about the clutch failing, just imagine if it had happened on the highway, it could have led to a fatal accident 6. Then I have taken Road Side Assistance (paid RSA), but the tow car came after one and a half hours, the car broke down in Noida, and the tow car came from Delhi, and the customer keeps waiting in the heat 7. Then, besides taking the shield warranty, the replacement of the clutch plate was not covered, and they made me pay 32k for the same 8. Now the sound which were coming earlier might be because of this clutch plate issue, which was not rectified by the service centre, and also during 50,k nobody advised me that the clutch plates were in such a bad condition, else I would have repaired them that time only, but nothing was advised 9. I am driving from last 25 yrs and drove around 4 different brands of car earlier with total 5 Lacs Kms driving where each brand was drove for approx 1.25Lacs kms and I have never faced clutch plate or suspension or shocker issue so it's not about my driving but the service centre advisors not telling on time or may be very poor quality parts used as within 3 years one after one all parts are falling 10. The customer care service people, advisors at service centre and seniors team members nobody giving a damn to their mistake and nobody will help you in any matter. So my advice to all of my friends who are thinking of buying XUV 700 pls read other reviews also of customers who are driving this car for around 2.5-3 years, then only you will get real feedback. So, think or evaluate before buying this car. I am not writing this email in any frustration, but just telling my experiences, and I have all the proofs with me.
