I had purchased this car on May 2023 clocked 24,000 kms till date. No electronics / mechanical issues faced so far. Parts are meant to last. I also did 4.5k Kms of road journey from Bhubaneswar to Goa and back. Even did Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar in a single run. City mileage-11 Highways-14-15 Km/l if driven between 80-90 KMPH. Service cost is around 5k. Better purchase it if 2 people are using it on daily basis with the Automatic (TC) gearbox. And lastly a capable off roader.

Buying thar is a useful car for an car enthusiasts and younger boy. Its driving pleasure good but there is some body roll .the look and performance of the car is very fantastic.

Did a week-long Overlanding trip through Meghalaya a couple of years ago in a rented Thar. This one was modified with a rooftop tent mounted on an external metal frame. The trip started and finished in Guwahati, so it included some nice stretches of mountain highways, well-laid canyon roads, as well as sections of non-existent roads, and broken stone/rock layered paths. This is the experience that really sold me on the idea of owning a Thar. As a couple, we both didn't feel any excessive discomfort or tiredness over the week which involved hours of driving every day. I was quite impressed with the performance and handling (speaking loosely in SWB Ladder on frame expectations).

This is a car that you should consider buying because of a passion as an adventure, an enthusiast, a free spirit and one who believes in performance rather than comfort alone. The car definitely has the looks, every the fuel station guy would smile and asked me few questions. The power is in the petrol version is awesome, you can feel the burst of energy and speed. Mileage is not great expect 9 km/l anything beyond that is a bonus. The front cabin is cool with lots of features on the dash and the seats are comfortable too. Back space is suited for two, not that comfortable. Boot space is fit for midget luggage's. Mahindra should address this problem. All in all buy with your heart and do not compare to the other so called ' Comfort Compact SUVS', i am 100% it will give you the thrills every time you are on the road.

Good looking and good performance rood presence is very good. Break power some compromise. Driving very must . Thar diesel performance is very best car. My favourite thar colour is red very must red.

Mahindra Thar was delivered to us after 10 month from date of booking.Driving experience is good.Eye catchy car,but mileage is low.Service and maintenance is good. Cons: Maxicare package from Mahindra Thar showroom is worthless.

I am an old customer of Mahindra. Mahindra's services are very good they treat you very well and Mahindra Thar is Best car for the middle class. Nice performance in mountains and river crossing, buy it.
