      Venue Sx DCT (1.0 Ltr Petrol automatic) has transmission heating problem. A message appears to stop the vehicle safely when driven in traffic condition even in 20 to 30 mins. The vehicle is not at all suitable to drive in bumper to bumper traffic. Mileage in the city is around 8km/ltr. Don't go for it.

      A big avoid for Petrol Auto version at least. Not at all suitable to drive in heavy traffic. Transmission heats up and message comes to stop the vehicle. Even the service station has no clue how to resolve it. Very poor mileage of around 6km/l in traffic and 14 on open road. Rear AC vent is hopeless.

      After pondering over nearly 2 years on which sub 4m SUV I had to pick up and after shortlisting Ecosport AT and Venue DCT. Finally picked up the Dct version of venue and I do not regret or have any complaints that I always gave a second thought with other cars. Driving over 3k kms this car is a beaut on the highway as well city, pretty much effortless. Traction control is a charm, switch it off once a while if you want to unleash the "Turbo" fun but remember safety first. Love all the features provided Bluelink that has so much information such as driving info, remote start, car tracking etc, airpurifier, ah and those lovely cornering lights and the spectacular dual clutch gearbox one of the main reasons why I chose this vehicle. The fit and finish is amazing both exterior and interior, an example the exhaust is not dangling at the rear like the Brezza that looks ugly. Within the city this car is just comfortable and so is it on the highway touches 130-140km with tac off on a straight full load. Cabin noise is minimal thanks to the turbo. Suspension is decent not as good as the ecosport. Power delivery is great, AC is strong as well. The only thing I hated is the rear windscreen doesn't have a wiper and scaled down size of the 5th wheel. Hyundai service and customer care is top notch which is why I chose this car. Being a tall person I personally felt this was more comfortable between brezza and ecosport. The Xuv300 is league itself on space. Highly recommend buy amongst the all, because the overall benefits of Hyundai Venue is just too good. Value & Service.

      Just booked the Venue SX+ DCT version after a lot of thought & a series of visits across showrooms & test-drives. As a package - the car is near perfect I would say with a few very silly misses by Hyundai. I had to choose between the EcoSport vs Venue & we settled on this car. And it has always been a tough choice. Styling: I do prefer the rear of the EcoSport since it looks more SUV like compared to the hachback look of the Venue. Venue does look more modern in its own stride. Ground clearance is 10mm less than EcoSport (200mm) Venue (190mm). Features: Its loaded but with a few silly omissions. Overall its is more feature loaded than ecosport. Lack of an arm rest in the rear & the 60:40 split sears in the rear are silly cost cutting omissions. However Safety: This is where I feel Hyundai is missing out. Their flaghsip model is missing the side curtain airbags & more importantly the rear wiper & washed. IMO - of all the tradeoffs I mide between ecoport & Venue, the rear wiper is perhaps the biggest gripe/disappointment. I mean how much does it cost more to put a rear wiper on a compact SUV/hatch? The rear glass gets mucked up quickly when it rains, & the rear wiper is a life saver. There is little to write about mileage from the 1.0 turbo petrol mill. Friends who got the manual SX(o) claim to get 10-12 in the city. I suspect the DCT will be more towards 10kmpl. Smaller engines are not so frugal when driven quickly or under load. However I expect due to the 7th gear on the DCT, cuising on highway will over good mileage compared to the 6 speed manual. Most new buyers (not all) who are claiming mileage at the moment is not presenting a full picture. Simply since the mileage improves with the run in of the engine over first & second service. There is hope here - Kia just launched Seltos with 1.4 GDi petrol with 7 speed DCT. Expect that mill to power the new Creta. Expect this 1.0 GDi to power more Hyundai & Kia compact segment cars in the near future - especially due to the new Euro6 & Bharat 6 norms. THis is another reason I was leaning towards the Venue 1.0 compared to the older 1.5L mill on the EcoSport. Even Ford offers their flagship 1.0 EcoBoost with their top car in manual which produces similar power to the Hyundai's 1.0 Turbo. Overall - I am happy to stick with the choice of Venue 1.0 DCT however I will always continue to crib about the rear wiper being missed.

      Booked by mid of October and get delivered by mid of November in Bangalore. Booking and registration process was very hassle free (Advaith Hyundai, Bannerghetta Rd.) It's superb to ride through rough roads as it has a very good ground clearance. DCT gives a very smooth gear shifts compared to AMTs. its superb to ride through highways and city. Big boot space. Total 4 + 1(wireless) phone charging ports are available. enough space for water bottles are provided. I haven't cross-checked the mileage displayed. In highways, it displayed 17.8KMPL (driven at max 90KMPH and using cruise control). and in city it varies from 6 to 9KMPL depending on traffic and road conditions. automatic transmission and steering - turning radius is very good for slow moving traffic and bad road conditions. BUT... if the traffic is very very slow moving and requires to drive B2B for more than 20-25 minutes the DCT dry clutches will start getting over heated. Now starts the headache folks. our BP will start rising and we will loose all our fun driving the vehicle. (I heard same issues are there for Kia seltos DCTs also)

      Test drove 1.0 DCT. Smooth gear shift but as soon as you enter the car, it gives you feeling of a raised hatchback (like Wagon R), not compact SUV. Interiors are good but not worth the price of 12+ lakhs. Not sure how it will pass Global Crash Test. Mileage in city is around 9kmpl so waste of your hard earned money there as well. Then I test drove Brezza (noisy engine), New Duster (costly maintenance and limited service network)and Nexon Diesel AMT. Booked Nexon Diesel AMT. A practical decision as per my priorities of safety, space and mileage.

      Brought venue sx#dct few weeks ago. After a long wait (55 days) the vehicle arrived from the factory. I was dreaming about it all these days and watching one or two vehicles plying on the busy streets in Thiruvananthapuram city. Finally, the day came and I was excited to receive it from my favourite dealer. My first drive on it was a short trip in the city. The vehicle is fitted with a powerful engine but the transmission is bad at low rpm. May be an inherent difficulty with automatic machines. So my city ride was bit disappointing however the internal design and convenience neutralised it. On highways Venue flew like a bird with amazing stability and driving comfort. I got 17.2kmpl on an average speed 45-50 for a 125 km trip. When it was raining I was fed up with adjusting the front defogger to have a good visibility. The tone of its horn also irritates me. The software provided for on screen control is also not attractive. Anyway I m not making a full review; I m still waiting to see its total performance. I hope it will not be disappointing.
