Maruti Suzuki Celerio Mileage

Bahut aachi mileage dene wali car hai value for money car. Look bhi bohot aachi mil jati hai aur space bhi. Bas thoda build quility sahi hona chahiye baki all are good.

The only reason I bought this car was the false narrative of the best mileage AMT. Bought the top spec AGS, but in Bangalore traffic, it gives mileage of 10-12. Maybe in other cities it may give better, but if you are in Bangalore and buying just for mileage, a small amount, stay away from this. Hyundai's may further dip 2-3 km/l, but a better package, no point in such a small featureless car with 10-12 miles per gallon. Top Spec doesn't come with a rear camera, you can imagine how feature-loaded this car is. Maybe the earlier version had better mileage, not the new one.

Pros: Excellent car overall for a city drive. Amazing mileage on highways 24-28kmpl Smooth gear changes overall. Amazing space inside and boot for a hatchback. Cons Amazing mileage on highways but cabin vibration puts it down. Low mileage in city drive 13-18 kmpl AMT sometimes struggles to make gear changes. Overall: Excellent pricing in the segment with all the features improving AMT and cabin vibration can make it a leader in this segment I think it is already the leader.

I am writing this review after driving for over 11 months. My Celerio ZXI+ AGS is an excellent city car. AutoGearShift is wonderful. Engine auto-off is the default, which is irritating sometimes in busy traffic. I need to switch it off every time after starting the engine. Now the main thing that I have discovered is this engine has an 11.5:1 compression ratio. Although it works fine with the ordingary 91 RON petrol, it cannot show its full power. XP95 petrol from Indian Oil is very good for this engine. With ordinary 91 RON petrol, I got 24kmpl on highways. When I switched to XP95, I got 28kmpl. Here's the real surprise--when I switched to Shell VPower, I got an excellent 31kmpl with AC with speed between 55-75 on highways. Even in the city outskirts, I got 29kmpl. Another secret I want to divulge is -- Auto Gear Shift is comparatively better than Manual when mileage is a concern. Also, AGS is not for the aggressive driver. We need to adjust to the AGS style of driving... For emergencies, we can switch to the manual mode also...but some practice is needed. Anyway a wonderful car.
