Good Family CarOverall, if you buy this car, you will be satisfied. My concern is average. Getting 12.6 to 13.1. When you see a Creta-like competition, you see why that car is selling like hot cake. This is a Driver's carThe Elevate drives smooth and fast as butter. I have driven it from Mumbai to Bangalore, every day in Bengaluru traffic. It is smooth and the most comfortable ride I've and my family had and I own an Innova crysta, Mileage is 16-18 on highways, 11-14 in the city. A car that could have been sensationalM/sPeninsular Honda, Trivandrum was quite tempting as their salesman let the car speak first and then started the build up. Very efficient salesman. The driving experience was what that hooked me to the car. Here was one that outruns anything on wheels. A ghostly silent start and becoming kinetic without effort. The gear shifts are flawless as its cvt gearbox relays the raw power of 1.5 l ivtec petrol engine. The suspension system holds the car up in steady position until an odd gutter gives a murmur to slow down. Very premium feel to handle the car while piloting it from the high perch. Yes a commanding drive as the car responds without hesitation. It has an Almost 180degree visibility as you sit way higher than other cars and get an uncluttered view through the wide windscreen, Pros are the muscular engine that delivers about 120HP and the seamless mating with cvt gear box. The17 inch wheels sail over most gutters without wiggles .The hight and commanding view from driving seat has very few rivals. The ambience is s spacious and relaxing. The cons are serious enough to mar the appeal of the car. The worst part is engine and tire noise getting inside the car due to inefficient sound insulation. At higher speeds the sound is quite infuriating. Pl do rectify this in all the 3200odd cars sold so far. There should be disc brake on all the four wheels as smoothness ABS is reduced by the rear drums. The highway mileage is only 14 km/l while the claim is 16kpl. I have already asked my garage to report this and seek advice. I put seat covers as the upholstery was not to my liking. Lastly the running gear should be displayed instead of “D”.
