Lamborghini has been its usual flashy self and this time around, it has brought the SVJ Roadster to the, 2019 Geneva Motor Show. It’s the standard Lambo combo of mind blowing performance from the hardtop model but now with the ability to remould your million dollar face, thanks to the car’s roofless nature.
This power to remould your face comes courtesy of the Aventador’s signature 6.5-litre V12 that produces 770bhp/719Nm of torque. Lamborghini has tinkered with the V12 and now it can propel the car to an unearthly 0-100kmph time of 2.9 seconds. This might not be a lot by today’s standard but it is incredible when you look at the dimensions of the Aventador.
The party piece is, of course, the removable carbon fibre roof that can be detached and placed in the front trunk by way of quick release levers inside the cabin. Lamborghini has also added larger air intakes and side fins for an additional 40 per cent down force.
Finally, in keeping with the times, Lamborghini has now made Apple car Play/ Android Auto as a part of the Aventador’s infotainment system. It is more than likely that in a very short time all 800 units will be accounted for and find homes across the world.
