BMW 3 Series Diesel. The BMW dealer in Mumbai is good at the time of sale, you contact one youll be called by another even, they will crack you a good deal and youll wont visit the competitor like MB or Audi. Sales wise BMW is good. Service- Ownership experience BMW not that great after 2 years if you havent opted BSI or BRI which cost a bomb id you choose 4 or 5 years plan ( initial 2 year service would cost you approx 80-90k, but the monent the standard warranty periods ends the vehicle starts coming with comman problems like A) Vehicle sensors (each will be charged approx 15k) B) wires, routers and other electrical component ( approx 25-30 k per visit). BMW vehicle has a common issue , their wires , AC Sensors, ABS sensor are been damaged by rodent attack as they have not covered the engine component properly, in case of any such damage youll be liable to pay for all wiring, sensor , labour etc. Bmw vehicles brake pads, disc and drum caught rust quite often if you live near costal region which will again be liable to customer (in case of BSI & BRI also customer will have to pay for it as they will deny stating we only provide wear and tear parts but this is rusty condition so we dont consider it in WnT) BMW dealer for service not that great if compared with MB or AUDI, anything you ask the SA or the dealer will reply you only one this its Condition Based Service we cant do anything, for a wiper blade part also if you are in BSI they will argue with you, dealer are not that competent handling service, you will wont get that internal satisfaction that you've been heard and responded, youll feel as if you alone talking to your self, and the other person sitting is having a deaf ears but reply only one things its CBS we cant do anything (my experience is dealer through out Maharashtra and MP) The rear seat not that great if you are travelling more then 2 hours, youll face back ache. Its bit hard to get in and out of the car. The resale is not that great as compare to MB. ** BMW does not use genuine leather in base trims they use vinyl and semi genuine leather is their higher variants, which they call sensatec and Dakota. In my personal opinion you should consider a MB C Class if you want a comfortable entry level sedan. A4 if you want a technical rich and a comfortable sedan. Skoda Superb , VW Passat , Toyota Camry if brand doesnt matters.
