Do not buy this car

We gave purchased the Land Rover Discovery Sport in 2024 and it has proved to be a very unreliable car. The battery had to be replaced in 6 months. Thereafter, one of the tyres was punctured, and recently, two tyres burst simultaneously. The car is driven within city limits with occasional trip to resorts in Maharashtra. The car has not been used for off-roading and has clocked in only 10,000 km.

It’s been a week since I test drove the Lexus NX 350h, and I still haven’t been able to get that silence out of my head. Coming from my current AMT, where every gear shift is a reminder of the mechanics working, the hybrid system felt like magic—seamless, vibration-free, and surprisingly calming. As someone with a mechanical background who keeps cars for over a decade, I don't get impressed by flashy screens. I look for the solid 'thud' of the door and the engineering beneath. This car feels built to last until 2040. It’s not just a vehicle; it feels like a vault. Sitting in that driver's seat, surrounded by quiet luxury, I didn't just see a car; I saw the next 15 years of stress-free driving. I haven’t signed the cheque yet, but every time I start my current car now, I wish I was pressing the 'Power' button on that Lexus instead. It feels like the peace of mind I’ve been waiting for.
