The Mahindra Verito Vibe (CS) is just a few days away from being launched and has already reached the dealerships. A white model (the most popular colour for a car in India) has been spotted at a dealership in New Delhi by the team Automotive India. This means that bookings will commence once the car is launched and deliveries should begin within a week after that.
The car has already been spied on numerous occasions sans camouflage. The Verito Vibe is a sub-four metre hatchback and is based on the Verito platform. It is powered by the same 1.5-litre dCi diesel mill that produces 65PS and 160Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via five-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra had said in its launch announcement that it decided on the name ‘Vibe’ for the car, with the aim of conveying a distinctive youthful and vibrant imagery. According to the company, the ‘Vibe’ targets the socially aware, young consumer of today.
We are expecting Mahindra to price the Verito Vibe to be priced at Rs 4.5 lakh and this means that it will compete with the Indica Vista, Ford Figo, Maruti Swift, Nissan Micra and others in the B-Segment. The top-end version of the Verito Vibe diesel is expected to cost around Rs 6.5 lakh.
