The Mahindra Verito Vibe (CS) has been launched at an event in Mumbai for Rs 5.63 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The sub four-metre hatchback has been made available in three variants D2,D4 and D6 - with the top-end variant getting features like ABS, EBD, alloy wheels, driver’s side airbag, internal adjustable mirrors and 2 Din music system with USB and Bluetooth compatibility.
The Mahindra Verito Vibe is powered by a 1.5-litre dCi CRDi diesel engine. This mill powers the larger Verito and produces 65PS and 160Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. The Verito Vibe has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 20.8kmpl.
In terms of overall design, the three-box Verito Vibe until the C-Pillar looks exactly the same as its larger sibling and this includes the quite spacious interiors that the car is well known for. The Verito Vibe has a boot of 330 litres that is far higher than most of its CS rivals like the Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. It is their second vehicle in the sub four-metre segment after the Quanto MUV that was launched in September last year. The car features vertical LED tail lamps and also gets carbon-black finish front grill instead of the chrome that features the Verito sedan.
The Verito Vibe will be available in seven colours - Fiery Black, Java Brown, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Dolphin Grey, Diamond White and Aqua Rush. The vehicle will come along with 3 year/1 lakh km warranty.
Mahindra has said that it decided on the name ‘Vibe’ for the car, with the aim of conveying a distinctive youthful and vibrant imagery. According to the company, the ‘Vibe’ targets the socially aware, young consumer of today.
