Exterior Agressive styling. Mahindra could have had more curves and larger wheels. Say 20/22 inches with low profile tyres (Optional). For standard fitment a 19 inch wheel would have been great. Tyre width is 235 mm. A wider one would have made it perrrrfect. A scoop would have been useful and added to the macho image.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Cannot comment much. The colour combinations look good but could have done better with a jet black and beige or dark brown / coffee option. Bluetooth options would be great. Leather seats look good and comfortable. Heard there is 8 way seat adjustment available on this car. should be interesting. Climate control and Cruise control should make long drives breeze.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Expect a similar or a pepped up version from the one one used in Scorpio.

Ride Quality & Handling To watch out for. Key for sucess in this premium segment.

Final Words Agressive styling. Excellent Pricing.

Areas of improvement Too early to comment.

Agressive Looks, PriceWell... wait till I drive one.

Exterior It looks like a real cheeta.it has a very good exterior.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Full of features, full of space, full of comfort😊. It has power window.it has  power sterring.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its gives overall 13.9kmpl in city and 15to16kmpl on highways. it has 7 gears adding reveres gear. The XUV gets the familiar 2.2-litre mHawk engine with a variable geometry turbocharger similar to the one in the Scorpio. However, it now makes more power and torque – 140bhp and 33.33 kgm of torque – and is placed transversely. Mahindra is offering two versions – a front-wheel drive version and an all-wheel drive one. We drove the latter and we’re impressed. The mHawk engine was always known for its responsiveness, strong mid-range power and refinement and there’s more of the same here. There is a hint of lag below 1500 rpm, the turbo kicks soon after and the engine pulls cleanly to its redline. The meat of the power though is between 2500rpm to 4000rpm – keep the engine spinning in this range, and you will find effortless performance. With its easy to use six-speed manual gearbox, cruising at three digit speeds is a piece of cake and apart from a hint of turbo-whistle the engine is refined.  The XUV’s lighter weight also helps its sprightly performance and fuel economy as well. The ARAI fuel efficiency figure for the XUV is a class-leading 15.1kpl.

Ride Quality & Handling Its handling is fabulous and moves very smoothly like water.

Final Words Its a excellent car.

      Areas of improvement Nothing.

it has a very good fuel economy, its very spaciousthings that i dont like is nothing its a very nice car

Exterior Eye catching exteriors, specially parking lights, head lights, curvy shape and Macho look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior colour is not very nice, it is on more darker shade. Infotainment system is uncaomparable with any other car ( even high segment).

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Power is good, 140 bhp for a 1700 kg kerb weight is enough for city and highway drive. Fuel economy with AC, I am getting approx 15-16 km/ltr in highway. Gear shifting was the issue, but it is rectified in first service.

Ride Quality & Handling My driving is 120 km/ day. I am very comfortable with the ride confort.

Final Words This is the best car in this segment, I have driven 5500 kms in two months. No trouble so far. The features are not even in costlier cars like endeavour, Captiva or even in Fortuner. The best part is Mahindra's after sales response. They are very caring and responding.

Areas of improvement Brakes effectiveness to be improved. Also they should have some more options in interior colours. Interior colours, really I do not like.

Styling, infotainment system, AC effectiveness, huel economyColour of interiors, no boot space

Exterior Suberb Exterior design and stylish lights Setup.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lighting, Leather seats are more than wanted. 10 cm Extra gap in the back seating would have been great. Music system is also a huge asset for the vehicle. Navigator and bluetooth are well updated. Power windows and OVRMS are great to decrease load of the driver.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is the highlight of the vehicle, it is smooth and powerful giving best mileage in the class. Gearbox should have slight developments in the near future.

Ride Quality & Handling Superb not feeling bored after driving for striaght away 300km also. Overtaking the other vehicles is an ease. Brakes are making sound and there is a fair amount of brake dust falling on the wheels while baraking in 20-40 kmph speed.

Final Words If you want an SUV with all features go for XUV5oo. Best for Indian Conditions.

Areas of improvement Gear Box and Brakes.

Style, Pickup, Stability, Top speed, Features, seat adjustmentBraking Sound at 20-40 speed, Back Seating.

Exterior Def scores high on exteriors looks as it does give you a feeling a muscular, dominant and stylish SUV, has good paint work, neat fit & finish, liitlle overdose of cuts on the bumper with no options of a installing a bull bar currently in the front, very effective  head lights and turn signals well integrated, the door handles will take a while to get used to and does give a feeling  that one needs to handle with care, nice cuts and curves all across. little worrying given that siezable portion of the vechile is fibre and not sure how would in handle small hugs from companions on roads.

Overall comes acrioss  well designed SUV, definately the best so far from the indian stable given the price one pays for it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Have only sat on the front seats and not for long hours, during this time fely quie comfy, the 3 rd row seats are only meant for kids or someone who you are not very fond of, disappointing on the quality of plastics and their longetivity, the instrument panel lights up brilliantly  but  the temp guage cover feels that it is without a glass covering (got the same checked with dealership on delivery) hand brakes ackwardly placed and takes a good hand to get the same released (buttons), Good info system but again lill weiry on the robustness of the touch screen, average leathers on seats and carpets  are of average quality. the ambience red light fails to amuse me and when switched on gives a feeling for a dim lit bar... overall happy with the interiors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Good,Fuel economy best with 14.7 KM per litre for the 200 kms i ve driven so fat, gearbox little noggy/stiff but assuming its because it is still new and also need to get habituated to it.

Ride Quality & Handling Decent for the city as I cannot comment on roads less tarvelled (highways).

Final Words Happy to own for the given price and proud that its rolled out of indian stable :)

Areas of improvement Plastic and leathers, back seats postioning and handbrakes.

Good road presence, exteriors, neatly designed , brilliant fuel economy, value for MoneyPlastic quality in interiors, Hand brake position, and interior exterior color combination

      Exterior

Good Front Design & other new features. Body color, head light.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Lot of good features. Not a good plastic used, Seats quality can be improved.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Good, Gear is very hard,

      Ride Quality & Handling

Ok but too many sensors, any failiure will give more expesive repair charges (due to not part of Warrenty)

      Final Words

Good to go, value for money, considering the complexity, safety - wait for 6 months.

      Areas of improvement

Booking process is the mess, Mahindra has a opinion that the customer will wait, but due to lottery system they will loose the great customer.

No Clarity about the frequency of booking.

No clarity about Sensor failiures if happen. Every speed brake we could hear some sensor noise but not able to find out due to what reason.

Dealers doesn't have a clarity about the process of booking.

I am not sure whether Maindra equiped the dealers to service the sensitive car compare with toyota.

Front look is good, Fuel economy, colorsBad Interiors, last row space, Sensor noises, Booking mess process (Not worried about good customer)

Exterior Excellant Exterior design and finish

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good international features, spacious and very confortable though the last seat has less space for an adult

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good and gear change feels good, fuel economy is ok, have recently done a trip to Mclaeod Ganj (HP) about, 1200 kms, it has given ~13km to a litre.

Ride Quality & Handling Overall good feel while driving and handles very well. Though there is vibration while exceleration.

Final Words A good vehicle from Mahindra Stable with features which are available in high-end SUVs. Will give a tough competition to other SUVs.

Areas of improvement Brakes - Something ought to be done in this area. While breaking at slow speed, lot of vibration and noise (just like old DTC buses janking, People who've travelled on the rickty old DTC buses would know). Even after a change of brake pads, the problem cropped after driving 200 odd kms.

You must be paid to write this article. I had the most horrific experience when I entered the Mohan Motors, Mahindra Dealers in Kolkata. I had to wait 10 minutes before a salesman could attend to me and when he eventually arrived, it was the worst demo one can ever received for a car. The price hike of Rs. 50,000/- and the long waiting periods for an XUV which is definitely not meant for off road driving like its competitors Fortuner and Endeavour. The interior is decorated with cheap Chinese plastics and equipment, the air conditioning is faulty, there are no air conditioning vents on the ceiling like  the Fortuner, plus there was no rev and pep in the XUV 500 engine. The handling and suspension  is poor as you can feel the slightest jerks and bumps on the road Clearly the company is under producing just 2000 vehicles a month to create a false demand a tactic previously used by Nano which has no takers now.

The XUV 500 after the price hike is highly priced  for a 2200 cc diesel variant in the segment. After the success of the Renault in F1 racing I would like to wait for the Renault Duster or the Ford Ecosport which have already made it large in the global market and promise to be under Rs.10,00,000/-

its cheap compared to Fortuner and CRVits a cheap SUV not for off roading

Exterior The exteriors are so good i think good is not enough its excellent because that xuv like a imported vehichle.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are not good that plastic quality, boot space, leg space its not so good & also that seat comfortablity not so good in long drive.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Actually in this xuv I want automatic transmission because that gear box is verry hard for shifting a gears.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good on bad roads i had driving some 900 kms handling so good i had riding in top speed 170km/ its very good for running on this speed

Final Words This is very good xuv totally value for money some problems in interior or gear box i think mahindra will be clear that problems in future because if they don"t so they will loose his customers and royallity.

Areas of improvement Gearbox, plastic quality(not so good like i am in toy ), boot space,(i think that boot space good for  your pet like rat) back leg space

verry good fuel average 16.5 on highway verry good transmissiononly last row side boot space bad that is only for sitting childrens not for heavy persons in family
