Exterior Good, looks classy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The front suspension is horrible, makes a rumbling noise,have sent the vehichle to the showroom 4 times for the same problem, everytime been given lame excuses like its a mono cork body etc. I have driven other xuv 500 but the problem is only with my car. The other vehichle i drove had gear box and clutch problems. Nobody cares to rectify my problems despite several complaints. Recently tried to contact the area manger, still no response. Ive bought this car from Ralas motors, Raipur CG. Fuel economy i was told would be min 14, unfortunately im gettin around twelve.
Ride Quality & Handling Average, suspension dosent seem to be stable. dont go by the exteriors and interiors, gear box and suspension is like a bolero and not a high end car.
Final Words Will never suggest anybody to buy this Car. Not value for Money. Its like a 5 lac Car.
Areas of improvement Improve on customer service, there is nobody to look into the problems and everytime some lame excuse is given. Dealer network is not good at all.

Exterior Excellent styling. A head-turner in the road.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features - great (love that blue tooth connectivity, voice command etc).
Space - 1st & 2nd row are great (better than my earlier Scorpio). However, last row is good for kids only.
Two pain points :
1. The central console gives so much glare in the sun. They should have used a matt finish. So is the two metallic strips around the central console.
2. There seems to be a more than required gap between the pedals & floor. Not sure whether this is becauae I have adjusted the seat hight. However, not a comfortable stance while driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good. Same / better than Scorpio. Fuel economy seems better (it shows 14+ for me, yet to checlk it after 1st service).
Ride Quality & Handling Super.
Final Words Best SUV I've seen in recent past - from the value for money & other features.
Areas of improvement
1. Central console colour / glare needs certain improvement
2. The sensitivity of touch screen should certainly be better. It works only in cerain angle
3. The floor to pedels hight seems to be more (not sure though).
4. Availability of accesories should be better. Still haven't got my foot rest & difficult for elders to 'climb' the car.

Copy of my experience as a communication sent to customer care is as follows:
I have been struggling to fix the following problem with your local dealer ever since I purchased the vehicle and started using.
1. The problem with the vehicles break and lack of its application while driving at higher speed.
2. The issue related to the suspension as reported earlier. While driving on interior roads, the driving experience is worse than sitting in a truck as far as suspension goes.
3. The noise level of the vehicle in the engine chamber also can be compared with a big truck. I have not bothered to see the lower fuel efficiency being achieved even though regularly driving out of city.
In my first service during March 2012, the above problems were reported in writing but G3 motors were not bothered to respond.
During 10000 KM service, we were told that the new break system is under development and they will fit this during 20000 KM service.
During 20000 KM service, they changed some bushing on suspension and the vehicle was running smooth for next 3000 KM and came back to its original "horrible" condition.
My car bearing registration number MH 43 AJ XXXX is with G3 Motors since past 15 days.
When the vehicle was reported to have done the service, I personally went for a trial and was surprised to note that there was no Service Engineer available for a joint trial of the car and a driver was sent along with me for trial. Its almost like talking to a wall.
When it comes to the service, the tall claims of customer satisfaction is only in the papers. I have been refraining from reporting my complaints to Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., expecting a minimum concern from the Dealer but see nothing moves.
My driven has been told that the vehicle needs to be inspected by Mahindra's Engineer and then only they can comment on this. Why such thing should take so long time and why should I not claim damage and mental agony being extended to me during the ownership of this vehicles?
I wish someone could walk the talk of customer satisfaction on this case before I am forced to take the vehicle out to the street and set it on fire to tell the world that "enough is enough".

The exterior of the vehicle is very manly and dangerous. But I think the Mahindra company, has spent all its energry on exteriors and looks. Its not even two months since the car was purchased, the car has started to give me all sorts of problems with the luxury items of the car like navigation and bluetooth system malfunctioning. When I contacted the Mahindra people to rectify the problem they said that the car would have to be sent to the service station, without even listening to the problem that I am facing. So I fixed the appointment, but the next day they said that the car cannot be accepted at the service station for the simple reason that there was some short circuit in their service station. But just mentioned to get the car after diwali holidays. The audasity of the people is such that when I requested them to try to send the car to the other service station they simply refused that and hung up the call.
I would suggest to the people that think properly and sincerly and long enough before buying the car. Because when you buy Mahindra car, these defects come along with the car, whether you like it or not.

Poor quality, defected seats belts, seat covers just ok in quality, no space for luggage if seated by 8 person.

deisel mileage not good, engine is better and efficient to control the car.

Comfortable to ride, gives edge over the other cars, sturdy on road, hill control or car on slope slips.

Purchased it 3 months back with lot of ecitement and joy but all gone in vain as :
- RC not recd. as yet. Car Number requested to be in multiple of 3 not got but got something in sum of 13 which is not accepted and asked for some solution but of no use.
When the person came with number plate (13 only) it was printed wrongly.
-Seat belt of the side seat of a driver is defected not opening up properly. All twisted from inside, it was there when we bought the vehicle.
- No subscription of Lifestyle Magazine started. False assurance everytime of such a small thing.
- Remote of car stereo not working since car was been purchased

CUSTOMER SUPPORT SHOULD BE EFFICIENT ENOUGH TO SOLVE CLIENT'S PROBLEM , MORE ATTENTIVE AND SHOULD BE CHECKED BY SENIORS. PURPOSE OF CLIENTS SATISFACTION SHOULDE BE ACHIEVED.
MAHINDRA DEALER: SHIVA MOTORS TEAM SHOULD WORK WITH ATTENTIVE MIND AS THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO CATER TO CUSTOMER'S QUERIES. CAR SHOULD BE CHECKED BY THEM BEFORE DELIVERING IT TO THE CUSTOMER. SENIORS SHOULD COME UP WITH PROPER SOLUTIONS.
BECAUSE IN ABSENCE OF THESE ABOVE WILL RUIN THE IMAGE OF MAHINDRA CARS.
We have two other cars honda city and i 10 ,I am happy to report that we are highly satisfied with the performances and customer support division.
We wanted this time XUV segment car therefore purchased this one. I still look forward to my new car with lot of hope for happy journeys ahead in all spheres please dont spoil my experience.

Exterior If looks could kill - look at the XUV - and then you're a dead man. No doubts A real head turner.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are good and usable to be honest. Loads of space in the 1st and 2nd rows. 3rd row by no means is bad, however a little cramped for above average adults. Doesn't really pose a problem for short drives. If you want to fit in 7 for long drives...all you need to do is to get your seating right. The AC is good and the handling in both within city and highway is perfect.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine is smooth and powerful. While there is a bit of turbo lag - largerly un-noticabe, you can drive it with ease in peak traffic and not feel the strain. Once the power kicks in, it's a beast man-:). The fuel economy is great - especially if you been driving a petrol guzzler. The gear shifts intially seem a little hard - expected of any new vehicle, however eases out as you clock more kilometers.
Ride Quality & Handling Pleasure to ride - I just love it. It's just me an my machine.
Final Words I recommend you get hands on this awesome vehicle and experience what this beauty got to offer. No doubt it's value for money. at least mine. Guys, everything out there is never perfect, there's one thing or the other that can be improved.
Areas of improvement A few minor things - suspensions -can be tweaked, plastics- finish. I don't want to be nit picky.

Exterior Looks great, thats where we are deceived, by looking the exterior and small fittings like extra lights at door, usb connections, touch screen, all these things we buy, but the vehicle running and performance is not up to mark, I sent my new XUV500 to service center more than my old captiva.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Cheap plastic, no proper place even to place a mobile I phone.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox VERY POOR, NOISE WHILE SHIFTING GEARS, AND NOISE AT BREAKS. They changed breaks two times and gear box noise continues.
Ride Quality & Handling Noise in third gear and I think we can feel more comfort in scorpio than this vehicle. becasue I had scorpio in 2006.
Final Words Dont buy new vehicle, wait until they fix all these problems, they are experimenting on customers feed back and fixing the problems.

Exterior Suberb Exterior design and stylish lights Setup.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lighting, Leather seats are more than wanted. 10 cm Extra gap in the back seating would have been great. Music system is also a huge asset for the vehicle. Navigator and bluetooth are well updated. Power windows and OVRMS are great to decrease load of the driver.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is the highlight of the vehicle, it is smooth and powerful giving best mileage in the class. Gearbox should have slight developments in the near future.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb not feeling bored after driving for striaght away 300km also. Overtaking the other vehicles is an ease. Brakes are making sound and there is a fair amount of brake dust falling on the wheels while baraking in 20-40 kmph speed.
Final Words If you want an SUV with all features go for XUV5oo. Best for Indian Conditions.

Really good car. But had to sell it as the tyres were worn out and planned to buy the other car loved it XUV was being heard everywhere loved it to the core. Now I miss it a lot
