टाटा इंडिका v2 [2006-2013]

Exterior  average. the wiper is not so good inspite of changing . driving during rains is a bit of challenge as the glass gets fogged and wiper soent do a great work.  Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)  average  Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox  The engine has been very good. I have been driving since last 8. 5 years and for first 8 years, the engine has alwayssaterted in one go . the battery lasted 6.5 years .  The milegae in city with AC comes to around 14 kmpl and in long distance it touces 17 kmpl.  I have driven this in mountain area with 5 peopel inside car and never I felt lack of power or control .  I could easily take it uphill whereas I saw other cars pressing their pedal hard .   The gearbox was earlier a bit hard but with time it hs become smooth. Never slipped .   1400 cc shows it has power . and when on highway when it croses 60 , it can take over any other car easlity . The max that I have taken it to 145 kmph and the vehicel feels almost lifted .  The AC is not so great during peak summers of Delhi but otherwise it is good.  Clutch a bit tight though.    Ride Quality & Handling  Any bumper not a problem. even in water logged roads in Gurgaon , it has never failed or switched off whereas I have seen other vehicles struggling to wade in water .   Nothing much on maintenance - routine work and I have faced no major issues .  I have driven 1,10, 000 km and is still running .    Of late , ti has started creating some engine heating problems and care noise has increased . I am waiting to dipsose this one .  Final Words  I should be given an award for driving this car and makeing this car so successful for Tata Motors .    I hope Zest model should be another good bet I hope Tata guys are listening  Areas of improvement    Taxi image is tough to fight over . the exterior loosk need to be changed .   family car , powrful engine , very comfortable seats and spaciousCNG a misfit , no resale value

Exterior Nice Oval exteriors, compact, Lovely tail lights , Defogger at Back Glass, Nice Ground Clearance, Adjustable Head lights( beam can be adjusted), Fog lights Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, with nice leg room both at front and back, Though the plastic quality is not that good but every car has its pros and cons, AC best in tis class. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Awesome 1405 cc engine with good fuel economy, Steering is a bit tight as compared to Maruti, Turning radius good, this compact car has both Power, Speed and space in a reasonable price, very reliable, Car pick up is awesome Ride Quality & Handling Steering a bit tight, good turning radius, good height for driving as compared to its rivals, comfortable ride, steering comport Final Words I have been owning Indica Xeta GLG since 2006, driven the car for 60000 kms till now. Thrice went from Delhi to Chhattisgarh ( 1400 kms one way ), car has touched the speed of 157 kmph, awesome power and pick up . Have got a mileage of 14- 15kmpl during initial 3 years in the city and 18.5 kmpl on highways. however milage came down to 12 - 13 kmpl in the city and 16.5 kmpl on highway, ofcourse it has almost been 8 years. I am very satisfied with the car. Ofcourse needless to say , it has been a very low maintenance for me. Have changed the Car tyres and Battery . My  personal view would be  everything depends on the way you drive, car serviced at every 5000 kms, Alignment and balancing done every 3 months. This increases the car life. Everything depends on the way the car is kept and car will give you the results that way Areas of improvement Lack of Spares as car is out of production, Tata need to find some good dealers who actually should be customer oriented not just to finish their jobs. This is an area where tata in car segment is lacking. Tata should not give commercial licences for all their cars. Plight of indica is due to the mind set of people now that is it taxi typed, hence people prefer maruti rather than tata.Nice 1405 cc engine in a small car, good average, low maintenancelack of spares in tata after the model is discontinued

I purchaced GLX (PETROL) 1.4 Litre model in April 2008. Writing review after 4.5 years. To help understand those people who dont take a test ride in TATA car before buying in any Segment.  The only regret on buying this car is: I purchaced CNG kit worth 55000 from Company. And it didnt work, and my money was wasted. I removed the tank from the boot and now happy to ride only on petrol as my luggage space available for use. Its Fuel economy is lower than small size maruti cars. 13 kmpl over all city+highways Price: 3.6 lakhs on road for the top model. with 1.4 liter petrol engine. Exteriors Descent Looks. The colors do not fade even after 4.5 years.  Interior Very very comfortable seats(front and rear) / leg room as compared to : Swift/Santro/i10/ford icon/wagonR. Dashboard has concave shape so nothing falls off from it, which is not there in the vista model ! People owning honda city/ ford icon have praized the comfortable sitting of XETA. Engine Performance 78000 km down the line, no issues with engine. Very strong on Up hill. AC very powerful. No lagging with AC on. The engine never heatens up. Gear shift very smooth. Decent pick up in 2/3/4 gears  and Can compete with Vista/swift on highways easily. Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth Power Steering. Final Words Though these models and Engines are obsolate, the cars made by tatas are worth looking in before buying other brand. I have been using car since last seven years now, although i have only driven it only for 43000 km till date,mostly in the city of mumbai.I am quite satisfied with the car.Only problem i had still date was of steering needed to be repaired and there was water seeping in from somewhere which mechanic nor tata service center could figure out.Both of that cost me about 9000 rupees.But that i all what spent in last seven years of usage. I am quite sure this car will last me for another seven years it will do all my day to day work of a workhorse.I have owned suzuki cars prior to and ford ikon.Both of them have given me zillions of problems after five years of using. If you compare the car with hyundai i 10 or i 20, maruti suzuki swift or alto or any other brand., this car is great value for money, better legroom, better mileage,better technology for price we pay. Now the only reason what i can see why people dont want to buy their own countries product with everything going for it is SUFFER FROM INFERIORITY COMPLEX. Indian’s want PHOREIGN thing, they simply not got over mentality of yesteryears. Let fools buy PHOREIGN,I am quite happy with what i have bought, all my next cars are either going to be either mahindra or tata.VFM,SPACETAXI IMAGE
