Jaguar F-TYPE SVR launched at Rs 2.65 crore, bookings open

Jaguar Land Rover India has opened bookings for its fastest production car ever, the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR in the country. The F-TYPE SVR starts at Rs 2.65 crore, ex-showroom, India and is available in coupe and convertible variants. The vehicle is developed by the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team at Jaguar Land Rover. The new model is stated to be lighter than its predecessor.

Under the hood, the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that generates 560bhp of power and 700Nm of torque. The car is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just about 3.7-seconds and can attain a top speed of 322kmph. As compared to the standard F-TYPE tyres, the F-TYPE SVR gets about 10mm wider Pirelli P-Zero tyres that claims to offer improved grip and handling. The company has achieved weight reduction for the F-TYPE SVR with the use of Titanium and Inconel exhaust system that saves 16kgs. Forged 50.8 cm (20) alloy wheels save a further 13.8kgs, while the use of a new, larger rear bearing offer an increased stiffness of up to 37 per cent higher than the conventional F-TYPE rear knuckles.

Step inside and one will find SVR performance seats that offer lateral support during dynamic driving. The seats are offered with an optional cooling option. Moreover, the lightweight Magnesium construction of the seats saves an incredible eight kilogram of weight when compared with the previous generation models. The car is available across 27 outlets in the country.
