Though the interior and powertrain options are similar to the smaller sibling, the Meridian with the brand's uni-body architecture boasts some cosmetic enhancements. This diesel-only 4WD seven-seater, upon launch in India, will compete with the MG Gloster and the Toyota Fortuner.

And while other rivals are downsizing on the engine capacity, it's a good step taken forward by Toyota by introducing a more powerful engine.
