Exterior A decent looking sedan - definitely not a hatchback with a boot!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Superb comfort for all passengers, very spacious & has got best in class leg room, a huge boot. A lot of features that you hardly find in the likes of Honda Citys. Features like built-in stereo, ABS, Height adjustible/collapsible steering, Air bags, Bluetooth pairing, stereo controls on steering wheel, power windows, keyless entry, immobiliser - all are great. It also a driver information system which is quite handy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Brilliant!

Ride Quality & Handling Awesome - I've been using it for over 10,000 KMs & I am liking every minute of ownership.

Final Words Truly a great car to buy.

Areas of improvement Get rid of the word Indigo from this model (at the back of the car, which gives a feeling that it is a facelifted version of Indigo, though this is built on a new platform itself).

Comfort, Performance & FeaturesI don't like this car to be compared against Swift DZire, which is the ugliest car in the universe.

Exterior I think this is the best looking Tata car ever. the side view could have been more attractive though.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is good, Tata has now discontinued tilt steering, Blue5, rear defogger. However, all the reviews & dealers still claim that the car still has it. its only when you buy & check, you get these surprises.driver info. is helpful (Instant average, mileage, distance to refill etc.).

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is less noisy for sure, 90 PS power is exciting, I have covered 2700 KMs in the last 2 months with my Aura and I am satisfied with a mileage of over 22 KMPL. Yes, I am trying to drive sensibly.  The car is stable at high speeds however it does tend to wobble at high speeds (over 120 km). Braking system is pretty good. gears are a little rough compared to most other cars I have driven and you really have to put in effort in shifting to the 5th gear.

Final Words Highly recommended car. wish Tata was still providing all features as they were few months back (& still claims in the ads & dealers).

Areas of improvement Price can be still competitive. Tata dealerships. really bad sales service right from the get go. The service stations are always JAM packed. no honour to time/wait commitments. poor customer handling. quality checks are not thorough. really stupid. I think Tata must go that much needed mile to fix up their dealership & service networks. Great car but the dealerships (& I have dealt wit two of them now) are pathetic.

Fuel economy (over 23 kmpl) , exteriors, space, features (though can be still better)Tata service,

I purchased the M. Red colour Manza Elan in April-2011 and has driven more than 10000 kms since.Including one trip to Amritsar-Vaishnodevi from Surat (Gujarat) of approx 4000 kms in Nov-2011.

      Exterior

Exterior is good to very good except the rear of the car looks bulky. May be compromised to house a BIG boot of nearly 500 liters.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Very good two-tone beige brown interiors. Good space to hold cans and bottles, cup-holders, under-seat storage for bottles. Height adjustable front seats. Inches of gaps are left for the back-seat passengers to sit comfortably.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Good 1250 cc proven engine, great mileage, smooth gear shifting.

      Ride Quality & Handling

Excellent ride, great road grip, excellent turning radius.

      Final Words

Everything for this car can be classified as EXCELLENT except Tata's Service Backup is still very poor. If Tata's can imprive their service setup, there is no looking back for them to get a good shre into Maruti's and Hyundai's share.

      Areas of improvement

Tata's serive centre needs a lot of improvement in terms of customer-friendliness and dealer's mindset. The dealers still think of themselves as they are dealing with mostly Tata Indica's Taxi Drivers; whereas Manza is mostly an owner driven car and it needs a whole new approach to tap a good after-sales Sales potential from the existing customers.

Now my manza had clocked 25000kms in 2 years,no trouble with power trains till date. engine is running very smooth as it should be because fiat engines were built to last very very long time, only the clutch pedal made "skrriking" noise while driving in heavy traffic but its got rectified by tasc.one thing i have to say is the fuel ecomomy i am getting ,,,, 15 kmpl with ac in highways! thats an exellant figure for a petrol car of this size, but i faced one tata niggling..the indicator stalk assembly was mallfunctioned last month but it was replaced under warranty, the driver side wipper bladewas twice changed,(its charged)the maintanence cost  i spent on manza till date is about Rs5700 +700 on free service done on 20000kms (e.oil replacement,e.oilfilter and fuel filter replacement)and additional 700 rs was spent on wheel balancing done twice and one genaral cheakup.and there is no sutch things like ratttalings!(my friend's maruthi swift started rattaling even in 8000kms) belive me, but minute squeeks were heard from the front wind shield mountihg,as we all manza owners know about the immproper fittment of wind shield!! over all build quality of car is very solid in some areas(the way the heavy front doors and bonnet shut with solid heft) and little bit flemsey in some area(the boot lid and rear doors).

Final Words Finally I enjoyed the trouble free motoring with my white beauty manza, till now.

Comfort, fuel economy, trouble free motoring...Poor quality roof fabric, ultra cheep cabin lightes and door knobs. .

      Exterior Decent.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very Good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Engine , Fuel Economy going bad day by day and Gearbox is horrible.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is good but handling is scary at high speed (very bad breaks).

Final Words NEVER EVER BUY TATA PRODUCT.

I had Wagon R for 6.5 year before buying this car, i never had any problem atall. I just getting it serviced thats it. But this car is a night mare. I went against my all friends and family members and brought TATA product. I wanted to prove that TATA is just like another car, but this car is a big insult to me.

I brought this car on 2-Sep-2010, you dont belive i been to service centre atleast 15 times in past two year. Apart from Engine all the items in the car are very cheep once.

My car used to give 14.5 in city and 18.5  on highway(with 80-100 Km/Hr  on full A/c), later on the highway mileage has gone down to 17 on highway(with 80-100 Km/Hr on full A/c) and city mileage to 13.5. When i raised complaint to service centre they took me to test drive on (bangalore to chennai highway) with 18.1 mileage (with 60-70 Km/Hr on full A/c), and they claim that this is the best mileage that any manza can get and trying to convience me that.

Even when i am trying to tell them that i used to get 18.5 with 5 adults and lots of items in my car boot and with AC on with 80-100 Km/Hr  they are not beliving this at all.

I really  dont know what to do.

If you want peace of mind then dont buy this car. 😢

Good space, good engineWorst quality i have ever seen

Exterior The car has a statly presnece on the road and it has clear lines with no fuss. Large windows and windshields gives a very airy feel and car looks solid from all angles.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Oodles of space around you in the car. Good leg, shoulder and head room, can seat 3 well built persons in the back without any complaints. Front seats are well bolestered and has got lumbar support too. Over all a very nice interiors with regards to space aswell as asthetics as the dash board and clusters are well positioned.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Got a gem of fiat engine delivering if not stupendous power, a very moderate power to pull this hulk without much of a problem. 200Nm of torque always helpful to maintaing the low gearing ratios. Can cruze in 3rd gear in city without any pain. Fuel economy is phenominal, in my 20k run in 1.2yrs it has returned an avg of 18KM/l in city consistently and in highways has manged to get 22KM/L in speeds of 100 to 110 and between 110 to 120 has got 19KM/l and in speeds of 120 to 150 managed to get around 16.5KM/L.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality of the car is soft and glides over pot holes and rough roads effortlessly as the rear suspension setup is soft. Hadling is not great but neither it is bad. For a car of this bulk its a pretty good handler.

Final Words Has been one happy customer with this car till date. Had a very happy driving for the last 20k Kms. This is my thrid TATA product the first two being a TATA Sierra and a TATA Indigo, and after driving the said two cars I should say that TATA Manza has been a improved by miles in terms to refinement and quality. But still there is lot of scope for quality.

Areas of improvement Huge panel gaps to be looked into, Some of the essential and important features were removed from the earlier versions like the Rear defogger, illuminated vanity mirror, illuminated glove box, 12v power socket at the rear parcel shelf etc.

      Exterior Excellant.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellant.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent; I am getting more than 21kms per litre. I have covered a little over 5000 kms since I received this car in December, 2012.

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

Final Words BEST VALUE FOR MONEY one can think of. A lot of hard work and imagination has been done on this version of the car. If people go on merit and performance instead of fancy names; there will be a long "Waiting List" for this car. Unfortunately; we in India go by fancy names. One has to drive and have the experience of this car to know it's true value. I personally feel that it is far better than any car; not only in it's own segment but even a segment above it. The features of this car can be compared with any other car on the site of "Carwale" and be judged on merit. Regarding performance - it is my first hand experience that it is simply superb.

Areas of improvement There is always a scope for improvement; though this car is perfect even the way it is now.

Exterior is good, Front view is exlent, rear view is good, only side view is ok.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very nice, it has Blaupunkt audio system with six speakers, very comfortable seats, you have light in glow box, center console is super, good cop holders, magzine pockets in front doors, Audio controls on steering wheel very usefull, A/C controls are electronic so easy to operate, A/C vents are good design.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Quadrajet 90ps engine is good, fuel economy is 20 kmpl on highway, 15kmpl in city which is good, gear box you can enjoy it on highways when you are in 80 to 160 speed.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is comfortble, handling is good when you try to turn little curve roads at  100kmph speed it was able trun easily without pulling side ways.

Final Words Its a value for money, If you want to enjoy your every ride in a car go for Manza, But if you want to show your car to your naibhours and pay more for without any features, You want to die when you met accident go for Dzire, i have seen so many accidents people died in swift and dzire in news pappers. I am not against the swift or dzire, i am againt the price of that and safety of that.

Areas of improvement Dealer workshops to be improved, Technitions should be clean hands.

Rich in features, Safe on highways even at 140kmph speedGear shifting (which now they rectified) unclean service technitions who spoils interiors

Exterior TATA Manza is comparatively new car in the market - it still carries the familiar TATA looks which not too bad a feature. The Headlights look very smart and the side profile looks good. Though the behind of the car may not appear so interesting to everyone else - however it looked alright to me. The side profile matches with Ford Fiesta (In my opionion).

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior of the Car is one of its strong points - Its very roomy , great space all around in front and back. Seats are comfortable and easy to find a comfortable posture - which is not so easy in many other cars in this segment. The Dashboard is carved like Linea,The Music stereos and steering controls are easy to operate. Stereo quality is average. The beige coloured interior is very soothing to the eye. The footwell is little bit cramped - i would love if there was a dead pedal!!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox TATA Manza uses Fiat Diesel Multijet engine - which is proven and Fantastic. The same engine is used in Maruti SWIFT,DZire,Ritz,SX4 etc. - This engine is Fuel Efficient and high performance in the RPM 2000 onwards. Though it reaches maximum throughput around 3500 RPM - but that much rotation may be unrealistic in Indian driving conditions.

Fuel Economy is good - it provides around 15 KM/L of Regular Diesel overall - measured through tankfull to tankfull method - City driving mainly . In Highway it gives 18 to 20 KM/L maximum - according to my experience. Gear Box is nice though the lower gears are hard and you need to push little bit to be in the groove.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is plush and absorbent and really is one of the trumps of this car. If you are coming from Maruti or other light body cars - you will just love the Ride. Its smooth and small glitches in the road can not make you feel zittery!

Final Words Overall a very good fuel efficient car for daily usage - and occassional Road Trips. At least that's what i had i mind when i picked it up - and - its serving the purpose so far so good for now!

Areas of improvement There are small niggling issues in the car - and TATA Dealearship is pathetic - I think the dealership issues keep a lot of people at the bay from buying this beautiful car.

Very spacious and comfortable inside,Very good ride, good FESmall niggling issues, overall quality not top-notch

Exterior The looks are not the best you can get at this price (as you can buy an entry level model of verna with this money), but not at all bad as well (It might end up being second or third based on exterior looks).

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors of the car are as inviting as non other car's (in this price) would be. The features are awesome, with navigation system and a good responsive touch screen. This is the most spacious and comfortable car one can fetch in this price range. In fact, the car's rear seat's recine angle is said to be more comfortable than the Mercedes Benz S-Class.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is a great performer and one can easily clock 150 kmph, if the road allows you to. Also, the car gives no lags in performance even if the AC is kept to its fullest. The economy might be somewhat around 18 to 20 overall. The gearbox is swift and its quite easy to shift the gears.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality and handling is a differentiating factor for this car and the others at this price. Its great to be at the driver's seat. The steering is as much responsive as it should be. Even the suspension is worth a praise.

Final Words - Overall, with all the good features and one or two odd negatives, the car stands to be a great value for money and a must buy if you have 8 lacs to spare.

Areas of improvement As mentioned in the cons, the NVH insulation needs to be improved. And seeing the size of the car, a rear parking sensor should be added. Also, because of the space inside the cabin, the car seriously requires rear AC vents (which are now available in Xcent).

Navigation, handling, spaaaaaaa....ce and comfortHigh in cabin NVH intrusions
