Research & finally found a beauty with beast callibre machine .Just like name it’s superb from all angle. After sale service was the part which I loved the most coz considering its features safety n class service cost is almost negligible as compared with its closest competition.Just only one cons found in6 years of low ground clearance

 

Exterior The exterior design is not to everybodies liking but ilove it. Also it is practical as the boot can be open as a hatch or a sedan.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Wow, This feels like a 40 lakh rs car. Every feature u need is there even paddleshifts! Space is at par with mercedes S class. Its that good. 

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 140 bh dosent seem much. But hey I am not complaining. Its enough on our roads.being a diesel it gives about 12-14lm/l and that is very good considering how big and heavy this car is.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is above average and handling is awesome. This has a long wheelbase still it handles a corner SUPERBLY.

 

Final Words Skoda has trumped its parent company VW and passat is a mere spec in the rear view mirror of superb. 

 

Areas of improvement Styling can be a bit more aggressive.and now the new passat comes with 170bhp version of the same engine.so skoda wouid do good to give us a 160-170bhp version of the diesel.

Final Words I want to share my experience with the prospective Skoda Superb buyers.

My car has been in the workshop for 3 months and it has been only 11 months since the date of purchase. This is due to repeated failure of different parts like sensor,Climatronics(twice), pressure valve, starting problem,engine malfunction,cabling fault, fuel leakage etc. There has been no response from the company for the various emails sent at each point of failure. Service levels and availability of parts is a big question mark at the workshop. Efficiency of personnel at each level is very poor. Honestly, I dread to think of the time after my warranty period ends. Each part costs more than Rs. 40000. I deeply regret this purchase. In short, it has been an extremely bad experience.

I would not recommend this car (or any other car under the Skoda banner, given my interaction with the company)to any prospective buyer.

The exterior of the carRepeated failure of the various parts of the car

Exterior The car stops in the mid of the road creatiung embrassment.This car cannot moved mannualy as all the wheels get locked and break down van needs to called for lifting. Once it stops in the mid of road- people start abusing and you will cursing as why we bought this car. the response from the dealer and the manufacturer is very poor. they even do not respond to legal notice. my car is in Jia Auto Workshop in Kolkata for last 3 months and yet not repaired as parts are not available.

Exterior

 Could have stretched the hood of the car a bit more for cosmetic looks, but still at this price of around 25 lacs, its a steal. I have just bought a new Superb & can vouch for this machine. The way it commands the road makes me believe the road is hugging this car, not the other way round.

Hats off to this beast. I was thinking of buying a Mercedes E350, but looking at the features this beast had to offer, I pocketed the money.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 All beige thick leather. I compared this with the Merc E250 & the thickness of leather there was much less. Superb again had the best interiors. The leg room tempts me to strtch my legs but my love for driving prevents me. Lotsa room for your long legs!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Not looking at the feul economy as I enjoy my short drives in Delhi. Engine is a genie when it comes to frequent braking in the city. The triptronic Gears are a marvel. The Mercedes E350 couldnt stand a chance here! I've drove all of them & comparing the size of this big car to other Mercs & beemers, the Superb is definately easy to manouver in the city & doesnt loose on luxry inside. 

The A/c doesnt have memory settings & needs to be adjusted everytime you hit the ignition. If I forget to close the outside air vents which are controlled with pneumatics in this car, then after a few minutes ont he road you can smell the smoke on the road. Skoda should have put a chip in the A/c to remember previous settings atleast! Its available in the cheapest cars & I cant figure out why Skoda didnt put this in their best model. They could have dont better with the A/c. But nevertheless, the A/c is a chiller in the hot days & a warmer in the cold nights & works flawlessly as opposed to other reviews I have seen for the Superb. I think Skoda fixed the A/c issues already, just didnt put in the memory chip there!

BUY this car without a thought.

 

Just bought my SUPERB & 'wow' is all I can say for the handling. For 25 Lacs its a steal!A/C settings need to be done everytime you hit the ignition. There shud have been a memory there!

 

Exterior The looking of this car is very good the lights of this car is excellent this car is the best car i have seen the and i like the looking of front so i say by looking wise this car is best.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior of this car is really nice the radio is touch screen the leg space is very good it has automatic gears it has good speed and pick up is also good it has central locking system and it is easy to drive this car there are 5 modes of ears 1 parking 2 neutral 3 reverse 4 drive and 5 sports.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The perfomance of the engine is very good the pickup is very good fuel economy is good because it is 7 there are 5 modes of ears 1 parking 2 neutral 3 reverse 4 drive and 5 sports of gear box  the interior of this car is really nice the radio is touch screen the leg space is very good it has automatic gears it has good speed and pick up is also good it has central locking system and it is easy to drive this car.

Pros : - Majestic styling a real head turner, decent fuel ecnomy in this segment.Great interiors rear seats are like a 7 star lounge. The automatic transmission is a thrilling experience at over 100 km speed in high ways(especially in india) where you need to slow down due to a cattle crossing the road and then use the paddle shift to get back to the desired.speed, its simply sexy the triptronic.

if your budget is 25lacs  plus simply go for it. Skoda has also achieved the leadership in this D segment in terms of recent sales. This should translate into good after sales servive.

Cons : - A/C is not great especially rear. But do nt mistake it is good enough.At Mahavir in Hyd people are not especially helpful they dont even bother to explain the features. Lot of features even wit the help of manual some of them needs you to break your head to understand. Manual can be written better(i means more simplistic) Some accessories like the ice box etc.. is missing but the same is part of the car in the official skoda site.

Final Words

 i have one skoda octvia, one fabia and one superb. skoda is great product.  since 1999 i have used and using skodas only but later after sales (as typical of our country) became horrible. total safety but for spares your vehicle will remain for months in the the skoda garage. my octavia was in the skoda garage for two months for a gear problem. spares supply by skoda is horrible as if it govt. department. i will never purchase skodas in this and next life.

 only area of improvement is after sales service. skodas dont supply spares easily. skoda will make you cry for the spares and repair.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All the features of merc E or BMW 5 and some of S and 7 series are availalbe. the space for the left leg for the driver could be more comfortable for long distance travels. plenty of rear space and comfort. very good telephony. comfortable seats. one touch memory seat adjustment is lacking.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Exceelent pick up and smooth acceleration, however you can feel a turbo lag for a few seconds before it can take off puch you to the seats. Fuel economy of 10 kmpl overall is acceptable. gear shiftis so quick and effortless that you don't feel even a slightest jurk. It is capable of doing more than 220 kmph without any fumble.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth ride quality and handling is superb. automatic car is much more convenient as compared to manual one. there is lack of space formanual car for the left leg as both clutch and break paddles are very close and you shes tend to touch each other while using clutch and break simultaneously.

 

Final Words IT is the only choice with all the comforts of a super luxry high priced cars at much lower price. exceelent engine performance and output of 160 bhp is more than enough for Indian roads.
