There’s a new addition to the E-Class family and this time around it’s the E-Class All-Terrain. Showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, it’s, as the name suggests, a go-anywhere version of the latest generation E-Class but in estate guise and only with diesel power.
What’s good about it?
Well…it’s the E-Class and this generation of the premium sedan is a pretty good one at that. You get all the luxuries of the E-Class both on the inside and outside but with the bigger wheels, high ground clearance and 4 MATIC all-wheel drive system.
What’s not so good?
Wagons have never touched hearts in India and despite this being an impressive one in terms of what’s on offer, it will have a niche appeal in terms of buyers. If we had to nit-pick a bit, then we are also lamenting the fact that this is the standard wheelbase E-Class as compared to a long wheel base length that’s offered on the sedan.
