Hyundai Grand i10 Anniversary edition revealed

Hyundai's special edition of the Grand i10 has been leaked just before its launch. The prices of the petrol and diesel variant will soon be officially revealed.

Dubbed as the 'Anniversary edition', this trim of the Grand i10 is similar to the special edition of the Xcent that was recently launched. It is based on the Sportz variant of the hatchback with the same petrol and diesel engine options from the standard vehicle. However, the Hyundai Grand i10 Anniversary edition gets some cosmetic changes and features to celebrate the company’s two decades of operations in India.

In line with this theme, the car gets some changes to make the car look a bit unique. Instead of the waistline moulding, as seen on the regular Sportz variant, the special edition gets body graphics in its place. The outside door handles are body coloured, which was missing on the standard Sportz variant. In addition, this new variant gets a rear spoiler and the B-pillars have been blackened out.

The interior is also different from the standard Sportz trim as this new variant gets a two-tone red and black upholstery. The blue interior illumination is carried over, but the edition gets a 6.2-inch touch screen infotainment system instead of the 2-DIN integrated player from the regular hatchback. However, since this is an after-market system, it misses out on the 1GB internal memory available on the Hyundai's player.

Hyundai is claiming that customers will get a benefit of Rs 55,000 and Rs 65,000 on the petrol and diesel versions respectively. That will be clear when Hyundai officially announces the price of this car soon. Till then, Hyundai is also doing some promotional activities, under which they are offering central government employees a discount of Rs 7,000 on the Grand i10 and Xcent and Rs 5,000 on the i10 and the Eon.
