Himalayan Dash dates announced

The 7th edition of the Himalayan Dash organised by Cougar Motorsports will take place from 2nd July to 12th July, 2016. The annual event gives people an opportunity to take their own cars and experience the Himalayas. 

The route for the Himalayan Dash starts in Shimla and goes all the way till Srinagar. That is a drive of over 1500kms over the 11 days with stops at places like Manali, Leh and Mulbeg. This expedition will give business owners and corporate executives a chance to explore their vehicle’s capabilities and enjoy the thrill of the drive on the adventurous roads of the Himalayas. The route will pass through different terrains like cold deserts, mountain passes and valleys. Accommodation on the expedition is also taken care of in well-attended places where participants can unwind. Cougar Motorsport will also provide road books and GPS tracks, coordination of the convoy, arranging local guidance and support from experts. Medical assistance will also be provided with a doctor and an ambulance with oxygen and medical supplies present with the convoy at all times. 

For participation in the expedition, one must have a valid driving licence in India and a car with all legal documents in order. The vehicle can either be 2WD or 4WD. A car with high ground clearance, reliable mechanical systems, good brakes, tyres and battery condition is recommended.
