The face-lifted Q5 has been launched for Rs 43.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Q5 was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show and is the first facelift for the SUV since it was launched in 2008.
The facelift for the new model includes cosmetic changes as well as a few modifications to the oily bits. In the front, the grille has been revised and now sports a hexagonal design. There are new headlights and a new bumper with the former getting an LED treatment.
Audi has revised the light cluster at the rear-end along with more LED upgrades. The suspension has been reconfigured; it also gets new electrical power steering system, which replaces the hydraulic system on the older model.
Inside, the German automaker has made a few changes to the design of the stalks; they now have some extra chrome treatment. The Q5 facelift also has minor revisions to the fabrics of the upholstery and a Q range specific steering wheel.
Under the hood, the engines are the same as the previous model; a 2.0-litre petrol, 2.0-litre diesel (most popular in India) and the top of the range six-cylinder 3.0-litre diesel. All three engines have been tweaked to improve both fuel-efficiency and performance.
