Maruti Suzuki India has increased the prices of various models including the recently launched A-Star by up to Rs 10,000. "The price increase has been necessitated due to the increase in input costs and foreign currency changes," the company said in a statement.
The Swift Dzire will cost Rs 7,000 more, whereas the SX4’s cost will increase by Rs 9,000.  There is however no change in the price of other models like the Alto, Wagon R, M800 and Gypsy. The entry-level Swift petrol has become dearer by Rs 5,000 and the other variants of the Swift will cost Rs 6,000 more.
