Just looking at this car gives you different feel, but when get inside the car, it feels like you are going to crush the other cars on the road, good looking interiors with high power delivery and the road presence of this car is way more different , everyone notices you whenever you are driving this car.

Long Waiting period and driving experience is swag with my thar and services and all good and outstanding performance of engine, next level power so I'll give 5 / 5 for engine performance

I was using first generation Thar so it was obvious that the new one was next on list. Buying experience: ok Driving experience: as per jeep standard good. Looks and performance is mind blowing Service and maintenance not that great. Pros: it is a wonderful product from Mahindra specially for those who love jeeps. It gives you that feel of a big suv, seating is comfortable however luggage space is a luxury. Compared to old Thar this is a huge improvement. Road presence is amazing Not done much off-roading but recently pulled one Eicher-Volvo truck. Cons: Build quality is not up to the mark, please get a good underbody paint job done at the earliest. Plastic quality is ok Conclusion: It is not my Thar it is our Thar, specially 8 years old son loves it even more than me. It is an experience worth having. We are owning i20, old Thar, rapid, Octavia and Fortuner but new Thar standout of the crowd. By the way this review is not written for any monetary interest however it is to help my brother's to make right choice.

I don't know about it but till now I never liked any car but Mahindra Thar was the first choice and the last forever.

Thar is tharmar (tamil word) means extraordinary car after ford ecosport I love to drive more thar 2wd because best in all categories expect 3 door and boot space...but I know very well before purchasing car ...best is the segment...Indian made (Ford Bronco) ....thanks Mahindra...need few improvement in service side but overall I'm always happy to drive the car not Thar budget jeep

The design engine offers strong performance for both urban and off-road driving supported by capable 4WD. 4.Servicing and Maintenance : Mahindra's Services network supports the Thar's maintenance needs. Regular service is essential ,particularly after off-road use. And the costs are reasonable for this beast machine. 5.Pros:Offroad capability, Iconic Design, Diesel Engine, Hard top(better cabin insulation, secure ,protection etc.) Cons: Ride comfort-Suspension setup must compromise comfort on uneven roads Cabin refinement-cabin might not match urban focused SUVs Fuel efficiency & Limited read space

Long waiting period at showroom made me to go for used car. Got very good deal and car in good condition. I have driven almost 12000Km in last one year and it's my daily usage car to my office, farm and long trips to my native. Road presence is excellent and catches everyone attention whether it's in the city or you go to a village. Ride quality is excellent, however we can notice the gear shift as its AMT. This could have been improved. Excellent Pick-up, Long drive, Tensionless on bad roads saves 10-15% of travel time compared to any sedan for the same distance and road. Due to heavy tyre attached to back door, expect noise on rubble strips and big pathholes. When second row is occupied, noise from behind reduces. Excellent road grip and control. Bluetooth connectivity is not great. While many cars are getting sold, Service centers and support is not increased in the same proportion, that hampers service experience. I managed to get 18KMPL on high way and 12+ in city.

The Thar was seriously very beautiful looking...and the engine....oh my goodness just one of the best engines I have driven. It can go at any terrain. The variant I drove was the petrol automatic which was a splendid powertrain.
