Exterior Good, head lamp, fog lamp, front grill, led day time running lamps, the rear windscreen gets smaller, the black suround are now thiker, rear wiper seems to be smaller, the number plate is moved slightly.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good, dual tone dash board. dual tone seats, touch screen display, ac . spacious, in steering neater design and better placement of control, lower centre console is dominated by a new gear lever, which looks better, instrument cluster is now angular not roundish like previous  model, dual pod design with analogue display for vehicle speed and engine speed.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good torque performance, very fuel efficient in both rural and urban areas.

Ride Quality & Handling Very easy handling, very smooth in highway.

Final Words It is a complete package. value for money.

Areas of improvement Tail lamp, exterior of back side. bonnet is same as previous model rear bumper looks the same as before.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Has Really great fuel effenciency, Gearbox is convinient and smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling Smooth, Jerkless, Powerful, High tech. Other features onboard include touchscreen infotainment system, GPS navigation, driver information through infotainment system, automatic climate control, rain and lights sensors, parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system and electrically adjustable ORVM.

Final Words I am Amazed by the improvements over the old one.The inside of the SUV can also be customized accordingly with lots of accessories in the list. The most attractive feature inside is the rear passenger entertainment package that offer 7-inch screens integrated at the back of the front headrests. A 9-inch screen with integrated DVD player is also on offer that could be mounted on the headrests. There are roof mounted blower to increase the cooling efficiency of A/C system. Additionally, there are utilities like car inverter to charge mobiles and other electronic stuff on the go. A car refrigerator is also available that could be kept between the rear seats. Stylish floor mats matching the aftermarket upholstery are on the list too.

 It is large and feels like th king of the road.the high bonnet and the upright A - pillars give it a butch look. the roof rails ,along with the long body give the car a grand look.

 The scorpio has decent interiors.The seats provide good support and the car has good space.The dashboard plastics are of decent quality and the car has enough storage spaces. However the scorpios third row of seats is too bad!!it should have been replaced with front facing ones , atleast in the new gen scorpio,also the build quality could have been better as the car rattles quite a lot.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 The scorpio comes with a 2197cc common rail diesel engine ,generating 120 bhp and 280 nm of torqe.this engine peforms decently in the city and it is really good on the highways.the fuel economy is excellent at 10-11 in the city and 17-18 on the highway.The 5 speed manual gearbox is quite easy to use but vibrates quite alot at idling@1000rpm.

Ride Quality & Handling

The scorpio deserves a B+ in this department as the ride quality is poor making it jerky and the passengers get tossed around in the cabin.The handling is also poor and there is too much bodyroll at turns and feels like a boat.

Final Words

 IF butch looks are high on your list and you have a driver for yourself ,then go ahead and buy a scorpio.it is tailor made for being driver driven.

Buying experience: That was amazing with CAI Mahindra Pollachi and Coimbatore
Riding experience: King of all roads. You rule the road.
Details about looks, performance etc: Macho and best unleashed on road. The best small SUV you can have for one person drive or 7 if you prefer.
Servicing and maintenance: Just spent less than 15000 in 4 years servicing cost. My CAI Mahindra stays with me always. No one can beat quality of CAI in India.
Pros and Cons: Last seat could have been lengthy enough for comfy. Rear camera missing with top variant. Suspension is stiff for one person to travel. But stability of the car is amazing because of tough suspension. Good chassis. Good break. Tire ran for 40000kms at high performance. Good for night long driving. Extended warranty makes you feel secure by Mahindra. Fuel milage 14. The engine never give up its torque. Fuel is responsible for the power. Always have good quality diesel for performance.

Since its a low cost innovation, its nothing much you can expect from the vendor.

 Nothing worthwhile to mention. I have had invested my life in fixing the issues over period of time. Now I come to know that the SUV does not have chassis number embossed on it. So the insurance company cannot insure it and thus making the car redudant.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Its the most unsafe as it could be. I had to repeatedly complain to service center in Mumbai, Bangalore and Finally Pune. Had to replace the OEM tyres, Bushing, do a suspension overhaul. So imagine the QC of the company does when the product is shipped.

Final Words

 Please go for a other options in SUV segment.

NothingThe Scorpio I purchased had no chassis number embossed. What more should I say.

Exterior If you cannot afford for Fortuner then Scorpio is the CAR you should go for. Just one word, MACHO looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) You will be happy to get a 7/8 seater for this price including Dual Airbags, ABS..etc. Mahindra Rocks.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superb. I was driving Ford ikon diesel and this is my first SUV car. Never had a chance to drive old scorpio but new scorpio driving experience is really great. Very smooth and powerful.

Ride Quality & Handling You will never feel like that you driver a big car. Very responsive power sterring. Still little body rolling but for indian roads you never ignore it.

Final Words Fortuner is great but out of my budget..but Scorpio filled all my expectations.

Areas of improvement Sales and Service as usual. It has improved but still somewhere missing customer's expectation.
